For what it's worth, I think almost no one would pay Geo Baker for his autograph, etc. Could be wrong, but that's what I think. I don't see adults paying college kids for their John Hancock. I saw Dustin Diamond (RIP) trying to sell his autograph at a comedy show a few years ago and I think almost no one paid him for it. Maybe literally no one.

And as far as getting a cut of Rutgers merchandise sold with his name on it, that will never happen. It's way too complicated and opens ten million cans of worms.

About the most he could maybe do is get paid for starting a basketball camp. That might bring in a few bucks, but really this all seems like much ado about nothing.

Wish the mods here took the heed of the PSU message board and just permanently ban trolls instantly so the true fans can have nice positive discussions without threads like this taking up all the space on the top of the board

Why are people responding to Geo's tweets, which he consciously decided to put out there during ncaa prep week, considered trolls? We aren't allowed to comment?

I should be banned because you don't like what I'm saying? Am I getting that right? How accepting and open you are.

I’d pay for my kids to meet him and get his autograph.

Why man? Don't you read these boards? I've been told countless times nobody on that team gives a good, sweet, g*ddamn what I think.

The defenders here who speak for Geo and the team told me so. So I believe it.

🙄

Look no further than right below this post to find the 'team's' mouthpiece.

No one cares what you think. Put it in the existing thread.

Unfortunately, the reality is it would cost more to produce the photo he’d sign than his autograph is worth on the open market.
But I’ll be damned if he shouldn’t be paid what ever the market bears to teach at camps and clinics that make profits.
And absolutely no one should be able to use his name and likeness without his personal consent and approval.

Pay for play?
In college athletics?
The horror!!
The current system that very directly and explicitly bans "pay for play" is going great.

Absolutely it’s a horror.
NIL which Geo is advocating for has nothing to do with pay for play.
Controlling ones image and likeness on the free market is exactly that.
It has zero to do with being a professional athlete in college

Same people slamming him will be the same ones crying when he has a bad game and their beloved RU loses. Lol.

You’re predicting a bad game by Geo?
No one at anytime in their life should lose control of your own image and likeness, you’re born with it, it’s intellectual property and belongs to you

SMH. Hell no. Lol. I’m predicting us to look like we did in the first 6.5 games.

So what you are saying is, because it's complicated we should leave the current exploitative system in place. Cool got it.
