Buy his jersey lol. Iโ€™m guessing he expected Rutgers nation to put a few hundred thousand in his pocket. Now heโ€™s upset that didnโ€™t happen.

Happens with 5th year guys. Either they are super into it or they are looking at the next phase of life.

Geo isnโ€™t getting the NIL love and he has probably realized heโ€™s not an NBA player. Heโ€™s mentally checked out.

in 2019-2020 before getting injured he was stronger, springier (monster jams in traffic) and just a straight up baller in clutch moments. Since then heโ€™s just been bad. That tough player with an edge has evaporated. No idea what happened
He improved so much athletically from his Soph to Junior year and hasnโ€™t dunked a basketball since. Fully agree here

What's his custom jersey cost? Any idea what percent of sales he keeps? If it's a dumb question, my apologies. Haven't been following the NIL stuff much.

Geo is below average athleticism for a high major guard
sort of...he's as athletic as most 6'4" high major guards. If you are going to point out our starters who are unathletic, there are two others who are far more unathletic.

I wouldnโ€™t buy Geoโ€™s Jersey for a penny. Canโ€™t even beat Lafayette

People attacking Baker, and saying he's playing badly, or came back, for selfish reasons, have absolutely no loyalty. I would not want you in my foxhole.

Only explanation I can come up with too... He knew NIL was his only chance to make some money and now he's checked out entirely. 3 pts tonight is pathetic..mcconnell with a goose egg. A Joke from 2 seniors

If Geo doesn't get hurt, we probably win the game....just sayin...

Think of the disaster Caleb hoists / Mag 3 pointer toward the end of the game.....neither would have been in the game had Geo not gone down

Reminds me of many things in life chapters. Being completely introspective and honest here.

There were a few things I was involved in as a young man and then early in my career...I came in hungry and with a huge edge and endless energy. Also goals ahead and idealism. Once the chapter started to change and goals had been achieved, I began eyeing the next chapter and the zest was gone from the previous one. Sure, I could go through the motions but my heart wasn't in it the same way.

Geo came here to change a program and to get to the tourney. He came to prove he was a top tier D1 ball player in a major conference. He did all of that, plus won a game too. Right after the game he was dissappinted bc that team could have gone even farther and he knew it, and he had some bad plays down the stretch. That's like everything too though...you always leave some unfinished business on the table. At first you contemplate trying to finish it, or dwell on what will be left undone, but over time you accept it and still look forward to turning the page. I'm sure Geo had plenty of passion and good intentions back when he decided to come back.

But he's grown up now quite literally...basketball is realistically probably not his future. His goals have been accomplished. He will forever be an icon in Rutgers lore. He also got hurt. He's not as enamored with it all. This team isn't as good as the previous 2 and he knows it like the rest of us. I'm sure he doesn't intend to be going out like this, but that prey drive for a young man is hard to keep up as life transitions. Even moreso when the best of a given chapter is behind you, and you've given your all already. Hard to play lights out knowing the team around you isn't going to go as far as the previous one... I feel for the young man but I know he has a bright future.

We are sports fans. I had a good time venting tonight with you guys and being angry and a little mean to get it out of my system. I am moving on for a little bit on RU basketball this season, as this team does not inspire much fan passion or hope. At the end of the day this is a dissapointing end to a fun and exciting run. Hopefully there are better days ahead...but I'm not convinced those days will involve these older players or this coach.

As one of fhe best Jersians of all time once said: "That's Life"

I agree. That's just reality. He probably knows team isn't NCAA caliber without Young and Myles anyway. I don't think it's wrong to mention it. Clearly selling his NIL in NJ is a big part of his motivation for returning. I think he's looking beyond basketball now and that likely means he's peaked. Nothing wrong with it, just life.

he was horrific tonight, one of his worst games ever...we were playing lafayette not Purdue

he is a 5th year senior, stop coddling him
He was horrible. Is that what we are talking about in this thread? I thought this thread was about assassinating his character.

Agree or disagree with this ...there is NO one smiling on the court . No enthusiasm . No excitedTo be playing ...even without the RAC for a year

And it starts in too with our 4th ans 5th year players who are the captains
If this changes results will change

Also, selling his NIL is NJ is PEANUTS. Selling some sweatshirts? You people have no idea what you are talking about. He could play overseas and make real money if that was his motivation.

He's slow dude and plays no D. Better keep up that stepback or I don't see much of international game for him. Plus, not everyone wants to go live in Croatia or God knows where for some bread.
