They weren’t going to win tonight regardless, but now the few winnable games left might not be so anymore. Hope Geo heals up soon.

There's a lengthy list of B1G players who have missed games.

Minnesota's starting guard missed the last 3 games.

Ohio State's Kyle Young is out after his appendix was removed Sunday.

Purdue's Haarms missed a couple of games with a concussion.

Iowa lost Bohannon to hip surgery.

Michigan's Livers is out with a groin for a few weeks.

This is a shortened list but every program loses starters and it's on the collective group of players to rally as a unit.

Don’t let facts get in the way of a pity party

Really? Vegas had us as six point favorites earlier today. It was a very winnable game with Geo full strength that will be more difficult now, but still possible.

Lol he got hurt vs caldwell thats why u sit these guys vs a d2 team
Please, people can get injured in practice or in any game - singling out this one game is just silly. It sucks bad that he got hurt, but injuries happen and the team has to respond to fill the void. We're really going to see what this team is made of (or not) over the next few weeks.

Also, Pikiell just said he hurt the thumb in practice.

Trying to do a damn dunk as well!

So was it the dunk he tried against the 7'2 center from Seton Hall, which was insane to attempt??

The nonsense as if the opponent you play against has anything to do with a player rolling an ankle or whatever is classic fans looking for any excuse to complain.

The entire league loses starters, kids transfer in the middle of the season, things happen. The amount of information we need to digest as fans needs to improve, RU isn't the only team with a player or starter out.

He had a ice pack on his left hand at the 10 min mark 2nd half vs Caldwell. It was hurt in the game.He came out at that point and never came back in.

So you know more than Coach about this? Maybe he hurt it in practice and thought it was ok and aggravated it during the game. I broke a thumb in 3 places playing soccer and finished the game and played a few days later before realizing it wasn't just "banged up."

It’s hurts but all teams have injuries and we’re a deep team. McConnell and Mulcahy can handle the point. Biggest problem I see is more time for Young.

Pike just said on BTN pregame it didnt happen in game but practice so can we put to rest the ridiculous notion that a D2 game had any implication. I mean it could happen in any game regardless of the opponent.

Yes, but now we can blame the new practice center ! Damn Hobbs for raising the money !

We have to go .500 during league play. IF we can survive for a while without Geo, it could be a big boost for late season run. He would be well rested and other guys get more minutes and are forced to step up and win without relying on Baker.

I saw him come out at the 10 min mark in the second half and he put an ice pack on it. I was 10 feet away. Which practice did he hurt it. Caldwell or Nebraska? I guess Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (1/3/20) – Rutgers junior guard Geo Baker will be sidelined indefinitely with a left thumb injury.

“Our focus is upon Geo receiving the best care and treatment to make a healthy return this season,” said Rutgers Head Coach Steve Pikiell. “His absence will be another challenge for our program, and we have every confidence our team will rise to meet it.”

Baker has started all 13 games at point guard. He leads the Scarlet Knights in minutes (30.4), free throw percentage (84.0), assists (52) and steals (23), while placing second in scoring (11.5) and blocks (12).

More proof that the RAC is built on an ancient burial ground. Ugh!!

Saw him icing his hand at the caldwell game, didn't think much of it. He and myles johnson are prob the two most important players. Hopefully this is more like a duke "indefinite" of one game

Thanks for collecting all the moronic superstitious posts into one post so we can identify who to ignore when it comes to this topic.
Hey feel free to be a lemming and pretend he is good for our athletic department. The man is walking trash. Ive taken dumps that I respect more than Pat Hobbs.

Lol...all the know it all comments about Caldwell.
Its not like Geo was killing it anyway.
Coach has to coach. Players have to respond.
And I hope Geo gets well and back soon. Better with him than without.

This has nothing to do with Hobbs and is simply about the opponent being immaterial to an injury.
