Disappointed. Hoped he would be able to fight for a starting job with someone. In some ways I hope this is his choice but if he had a chance to compete for a starting spot, even with Cleveland, I hope he didn't turn it down. He's competing to be eli's backup, coming off ACL surgery. If he doesn't win that, I doubt they keep him as a third.

I would rather have him learn from a real qb and have legit coaches around him. The giants are nowhere near the dumpster fire that the jets are.

Dave, I think you make any excellent point. Eli has won 2 Super Bowls and has been in the league a long time. Great guy for Geno to learn from. Geno is still a real young guy. Backing up Eli and giving folks a little while to maybe believe that he has maybe matured cannot hurt him. Besides, even backup guys in the NFL make a ton of money. I hope he's smart and that he's squirreling away a lot of that money. Anyway, looks like a really good move for Geno if he can lock down that number 2 spot behind Eli.......

Plus if something happens to Eli and Geno is in there he will have a line and talent around him. If he can shine a team like the Giants is as good as he can hope for.

Geno has a good chance with this move. The Jets were never offensive minded and shoved Geno into the fire before he had a chance to learn and adapt.

Good luck to him and hope he gets to actually show what he can do sometime.
