That is clearly unhealthy, which is one of the reasons football needs a weight limit. For years we've heard about the emphasis on player safety, yet these kinds of ridiculous eating habits are common. No one over 295 pounds should be allowed to play football. That would help stop these unhealthy eating habits designed to gain huge amounts of weight, and it would be safer on the field because you wouldn't have several 350 pounders, or more, falling on top of people.

In my lifetime most football players played the game at their normal weight. There was no weight training, and there was nothing more than a pre-game meal of normal proportions.

It used to be that a 250-pound lineman was viewed as a giant. And there were very few of them. But the game was exciting and produced all-time greats. Now we have this kind of insane eating regimen rampant across the country. It's not healthy for the individuals or for the game. That seems pretty clear.

So he's eating with the same philosophy as a model, eat and purge. Sure he fills up before the game, but then he eats that family sized order of onion rings and I bet he's got about 5 days of purging.

I'd probably die if I ate anything within 24 hours after just his first meal. But that's what it takes to be an OLineman. Need to be big as he is tough. Can't wait to see him rock guys this year.

The shocking thing is him eating during the game. I would think on those humid Sept games he get sick as a dog..

In 1974, Dan McCarney played guard for Iowa at 195lbs.

The rest of America says hello???? Have you seen the average middle aged person in America? But hey let's worry about football players.

Lots of people do unhealthy or unsafe things at their job. Get over it.
Sorry you wanted to be a football player but didn’t put in the work to be bigger and better than the people that are playing.

I don't eat fast food much, but if I'm at Culver's I'm getting the triple butter burger basket with fries and then some onion rings or curds added on as an additional side, but not usually a family size order. I have no doubt I could put it all away pretty easily. I'm slightly taller than Gennings but he's trying to maintain a body weight that's a 100 lbs. heavier than mine currently.
