Frost didn't bring Martinez in to red shirt

Riley didn't bring Gebbia (or Patrick O'Brian) in to red shirt.

Pelini didn't bring in Johnny Stanton in to red shirt.

Solich didn't bring Curt Dukes in to red shirt.

Martinez has yet to take one snap in a D-1 scrimmage and didn't play football last year. I'm glad they signed a 4* kid who was a highly-touted recruit. Whether he's starting material remains to be seen.

Don't show those rushing stats to all the people who are dead certain that the fastest kid will win the job so there can be 20 designed QB carries per game and another 30 called option plays.

Averaged just over 8 carries a game, some of which would have been scrambles.

Running well is not good enough. I do not think he is a Mariotti. I think Martinez is the closest thing to
being him. But if he is thats great.

You’re not required to play Eric Crouch in this offense but you want an athletic QB that can make plays with his feet. Milton wasnt the fastest but he was athletic as hell and made people miss. Pocket guys arent really good at that, they’re more likely to fold when someone gets in to the backfield.
