I think it makes perfect sense. Remember back to last November when TG's dad said it would be a mistake to fire Riley. TG is a throwing QB, most of the time Oregon State is going to be behind in most of the games, therefore the QB will get a chance to sling it all over the place. I am sure TG's dad was excited to see a Coach Riley led Husker team so that his son could throw 50+ times a game because we would be down by 30 at the half. Gotta pad the stats to get to the NFL.
Did TG's dad really come out in support of Riley? I don't remember that... though I certainly remember Keyshawn Johnson Senior coming out in support of Riley... only to come out in support of Frost as well. Then he son wasn't coming back... then he WAS coming back... until he wasn't again.

What?? No matter where he goes, he's going to have competition. Even the pathetic Beavers have qbs he's going to have to beat. Maybe even more than one or two qbs.

If he wants something for nothing.....he's in for a brutal awakening.

So myopic. It is truly sad.

You are so right on this one. Typically skilled positions are not the Beavers downfall. They have had some pretty good quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. Lack of depth and bad coaching is what has killed them

Speaking of The Island of Misfit Toys, what exactly was the Dolly's problem that made her a misfit? She looked like your standard rag doll to me.

‘Dolly for Sue,’ the cute red-haired doll with the red dress and pleasant personality, doesn’t appear to fit in with the other island inhabitants. And that has sparked quite a few discussions online as to why the precious tot would be associated with the other toys.

The show’s producer, Arthur Rankin Jr., has a plausible explanation.

In a 1987 interview, Rankin said Dolly’s problem was “psychological, caused from being abandoned by her mistress and suffering depression from feeling unloved.”

So, while her flaws may not have been visible, her pain was real.

Where else can you get Rudolph talk so close to the season opener other than the good old HuskerOnline message board?:D

It's Oregon State, I'm guessing none of those 6 QBs were high school All-Americans like Martinez. Probably 2 and low 3 star guys. If he can't win the starting job there next year, then he's just not a Power 5 level talent.

These two share the #2 spot on the QB depth chart going into the OSU-tOSU game:

Jack Colletto, soph, 6-3, 222 5.2 2*
One other offer from Vanderbilt

Conor Blount, soph, 6-1, 204 NR
Appears to have walked on; only offer was S. Dakota per Rivals

If 5.9 4* Gebbia can live up to his billing, he should have no problem commanding that room.

Yes TG's dad came out in an article in full support of Riley, he even stated how Riley had done everything he told him he would do for his son. IMO it came off as a very me first type attitude.

But there are 6 of those dudes on the roster. Sigh
