You don't have to be Jewish to support Isarel. You just need to understand that radical Jihadist will kill everyone of them if they don't fight back and completely destroy Hamas. There will be collateral damage because the terrorists will use human shields. So I'm not going to feel sorry for anyone in the Gaza Strip. Isarel will actually lose alot of fighters going out of the way to keep civilian casualties down. If Hamas would release any hostages still alive they could set up corridor for the women and children.

He’s clueless if he thinks Israel can have 5000 rockets fired at it, 1300 citizens killed by terrorists, and another 3500 casualties and not respond. Israel will soon have full control of every sector of Gaza. The Palestinians will be standing in lines for food and water rations placed in their hands by Israeli soldiers. Their women and children will not be hostages and will not be raped and tortured. Their sick and wounded will receive medical care as if they are Israelis. Even now, the doctors and nursery are providing equal care to the terrorists as they’re giving to their victims. And in the end those Palestinian mothers who are receiving food and medical care for them and their families will send their sons strapped with explosives to kill the soldiers, doctors, and nurses providing that care.
I won't be interested in hearing Hamas or any other Islamic Jihadist propaganda. I know how they operate. The MEDIA can stick a sock in it. Like I said above. Hamas could release the hostages. Ask for a corridor for women and children and avoid alot of death. Let me know when that happens.

I don't want to see American boots on the ground pulling triggers unless it's to rescue hostages or evacuate Americans. However if Hezbollah or others don't stand down I don't have a problem with making some areas glow. They need to understand and believe that's a possibility. That doesn't mean oil refineries. The smart move for Hamas would be to release all American Hostages immediately. That would help them politically. Don't see it happening. They like killing Americans too.

I'm going back and trying to understand more about the context and history of this situation. The whole thing is kinda crazy to me tbh. Should I look into history before the 1940s when Israel was created? Is the historical context of this war the bible? If no, does Israel think it is? OR the Quaran? Is this a religious war?

That's not as easy as it sounds in Gaza. The hostages have most likely been separated and moved all over place to underground locations. There might be an opportunity that arises to save a couple but anyone who isn't already dead will most likely not survive this unless Hamas releases them.
I did CQB for a living for many years. I recommend we bomb the **** out of some leadership across the middle east.

Before the Israelis introduced irrigation to the land, most of the land in green couldn't be farmed and was uninhabited except by Bedouins who still inhabit it as nomads.
