I’m really hoping he comes to RU. His tape and all the articles paint a really good picture for the kid. Seems like a good kid, super talented and exactly what Schiano needs in a starting QB.

I do too. He would be my first choice, but if he does not, I want him to make the decision as soon as possible. I don't want to miss out on other QB prospects like Davis, Kargman, Belin or Leary if he doesn't come.

I would rather the kid take his time and be sure about his decision rather than jump on thinking there are not many spots left. I would imagine UK is making a big push to get him to either commit there or defer his decision. He has been up here for an unofficial right?

Would love to have Wimsatt choose Rutgers but unlike NJ the pressure exerted by home state Kentucky will be elevated. I want retribution for Kentucky taking Josh Allen when we had a great shot to keep him home. They will definitely put a full court press out on him.

Maybe get a premium sub to know the whole story. Josh Allen went to UK because Flood had others higher on the board and never recruited him even though the Montclair coach was calling him constantly about the kid.

I saw that. I think the longer this plays out the worse it is for us. Kentucky will probably "find" a job for this kids mom or something that pays 6 figures.

Hate this mindset. If we lose a kid another school pulls shady ****. But if we get a kid it's because they're dying to be scarlet knights. We are just as guilty as the next school when it comes to stuff like this.

Stuff like what? What are we guilty of?
What has RU done that is in the same universe as SEC schools?
Maybe I'm misinterpeting what you're saying.

That every time there's a kid who is this highly recruited and we are anticipating getting him. If we don't foul play is involved. But then if it's the opposite and we do get him you guys all just think that these kids were just dreaming of being a rutgers kid.

Please list all the highly recruited studs Rutgers has secured from other states and put that list next to the list of stud NJ players we were finalists for who wound up elsewhere. Love to see it. Thank you in advance.

Proud, others are saying both kids are coming to Rutgers. I used to say it doesn’t matter until Signing Day, but now with the portal, even then it doesn’t matter. It is just fun to talk about. Of course, I am one of those who lives for conference expansion threads, even if they don’t make any sense. Maybe I will start a University of Arizona and North Carolina State to the Big Ten thread later today !

It's just the point that you guys assume every kid we don't get was paid off and that rutgers is squeaky clean

Let’s discuss this at a Princeton coffee shop. I’ll be wearing a red but not scarlet jacket.

I’m sure Flood has learned how to do it correctly with his time at Bama.

Rutgers beat out UT for a Florida kid. This is the only one I see fitting the mold you describe.
According to 247 Coleman was offered by UConn and Boston College. #9 in MD.
Savage. According to 247..even with a very high list of schools interested nobody but Rutgers is listed as having offered.

That's a short and weak list compared to the 25+ NJ studs who've gone to PSU, OSU, UM, Vs. Tech. UNC, Bama, etc..I actually understand Bama and OSU..but Va. Tech, UNC, etc..not so muchch.

What OTB takes to compete with the big guys. And people want to start openly paying these guys.

Seems to me we're reading too far into one change on the crystall ball. he'll be a knight. I trust Wiltfong. I also trust Wimsatt's twitter "likes", lol. Very Rutgers-themed. Not responding to/interacting with UK commits saying "come to UK!"...
