The goggles are outstanding. I wonder if he can’t find contact lenses he likes since some lenses are uncomfortable and/or create glare.

That second bucket he scores made my jaw drop. Has his defender basically posted up at the three point line, catches it, turns and drains a three right in the kid’s face.
and he's a 6'7" long-armed guard! plays like that on the perimeter and that post move where he drops it in for an and-one.

I can see the goggles being a required item in the student section in the future.
I just got goggles recently for hoops and trail running (still wear my contacts for ice-hockey although the goggles do fit under a cage). The visual clarity is really great with the goggles. I can see why he likes them.
The only question I have with GG would be his ball handling in traffic in the BIG against very quick players. Mulcahy plays with a nice “bend” and a strong bounce so despite his height he can operate in traffic.

His ball handling looks excellent and he gets very low with his dribble when making moves. He also showed slick passing in the lane. He's going to be much better than Paul at penetrating and scoring

I really really hope he sticks with the goggles in college. I feel like it adds to the allure.

His skillset includes dribbling, passing and making shots off the dribble. His height will make him a very effective small forward.I really liked his making a foul shot without even bouncing the basketball before taking the shot.

33 points and how many bad shots or shots with 2-3 guys guarding him? Phenomenal decision-making for a HS player, especially a 6'7" guard.
So many highlight reels are full of bad shots against 2-3 guys.
He's going to adjust to the higher level mentally quicker than most guys (some never do) because he's already making the right plays. Many (most) top HS players are taking the shot or trying to dribble through guys.
Amazing that he rebounded and took off up the court with the ball so many times and never got back tapped and was going fast yet never seemed out of control.
Fun to watch.

I have faith that he’ll adjust and going against Mag in practice will help.

Is he playing against good competition?
Not sure how good the high school competition he plays against is but he played AAU ball for Expressions Elite which is part of the EYBL circuit, so he has seen plenty of good competition.

OT but why googles for trail running?
Are you doing longer/multi day distances?

I've been fine with contacts but only maxed out at 33 miles so far. I have thought about how doing 50 mile or longer might require more eye maintenance. Never thought about googles actually.

Nothing that long for me these days lol. I do a mix of sprint/jog/walk and usually am limited to an hour due to daylight constraints this time of year. I can only wear contact lenses for shorter stints due to dry eyes from aging (55 1/2 yrs old).
