I was in Vail Colorado this past week. My son was wearing an NU sweatshirt leaving the hotel, and we passed a group of people entering, and I heard someone say " go cats!" It was Gary Barnett. I told him it was good to see him, and he replied"it's good to be seen!"

Nice of him to go out of his way to recognize a Cats fan kid. Class act as always.

My friends down in Nashville just adopted a husky puppy and named him Admiral Gary Barnett. Looking forward to a sighting of my own later this week!

Geez, I was there too. No Gary for me. What day?

I just watched a couple of Lundy games from Barnett's early tenure. Those early game fumbles really cost us momentum. It made us look like- and feel like, the same old Northwestern in '93 & '94. Really demoralizing, beyond the result of the turnover. Of course, it set us up for a magical year in '95, but Barnett's teams were already developing. It just didn't feel like it. I feel bad for the pre '95 guys who could have tasted more success.

the knowledge that lundy was intentionally fumbling in those games makes you wonder how much better the records in 93 and 94 could have been if players weren't betting on games.

If Lundy didn't fumble in 94 dOSU game, we win that game. Total BS.
