I'm making my way down from the Jackson area for my first game at the New Dude on Saturday. My wife and I have a 6 month old, so needless to say, we haven't felt comfortable making that trip to a game until now.
Anyway, we plan to bring our own chairs and sit in the berms. What all do I need to know about sitting in this area? Game starts at noon, so what time should I be there in order to get a good spot? Anything else I should be prepared for at the new stadium? Love reading the Pack and appreciate any and all input. Thanks!

I’ll add another question to his... what size cooler can you bring into the Outfield whether it has baseball water in it or not ?

Has to fit in a box they have set up but the can be lenient

This. Also I have seen them be a little lenient too. They're probably going to want to look inside but I guess they're just looking for pistols or a bomb because I've had baseball water in plain view several times and they always say "You're good. Go on."

How do all the Left Field Loungers get all the steaks and other victuals packed in a 10 inch cube? Surely they must have a different set of rules.

Good luck with berms. During LSU series I was in the gate 70 min before pitch for Friday game and 90 min before Saturday and no luck finding a spot.

I’d say at least 2.5 hrs before first pitch.

The size measurement boxes are bigger than a 10x10x10. Cause that size can easily fit inside the measurement boxes

Gates open 2 hours before gametime

You must have the greatest baby in the history of earth. My kids didn’t quit ruining sporting events until they were 5.

I know with a 6 month old it's extremely hard to sacrifice extra time "sitting there" an hour or two before the game to save a spot. I've been there trust me. But that might be how early you need to get there to make sure you have a berm spot. Many disagree, but it's a problem that is no doubt keeping some people at home.

Maybe one member of your family goes early to save a few spots and then the rest join later? Good luck and enjoy!

ETA: The older that child gets, the less baseball games you will have time to enjoy.
