Didn't Merrimck lose by 20 to Maine in their opener?Northwestern has the chance tonight to change Merrimack’s NCAA D-1 record 1.000 winning percentage. My money’s on the Cats to make history.

Interesting line-up for Merrimack. Here's who played against Maine:They did! Early morning Wikipedia misread.
Oh well, I guess whether Pat Spencer breaks the all-time NCAA basketball scoring record for former lacrosse players (post-2000, unverified) is at stake tonight. Not much else.
(Was it Dugan who used to post all time stats every few weeks? I wonder if Turner’s got a chance to make the top 100 in free throws made.)
Interesting line-up for Merrimack. Here's who played against Maine:

6'4" G

6'2" G
They played 4 FY's. They jacked up 29 3's and made 6 (21%). Got 16 offensive boards, most likely on missed 3's that came out long. Collins said they like to play zone, so will be interesting to see if NU can push the pace against a zone.
Well.... the one thing this does lead me to ask is.... why the heck didn't we schedule UMaine-Fort Kent tonight instead??Good summary Fitzphile...Not a ton out there on Merrimack. Here are a few tidbits I could find:
- As already mentioned, this is their first year in Division 1. The last three years they played D-2 and did make the D-2 postseason tourney each year. Their best result from that tourney was making the Regional Semifinals two years ago.
- They have won 19, 20, and 22 games over the past three seasons respectively.
- Prior to losing their opener by 20 to Maine, they played an exhibition on 10/31 and won 87-26 versus University of Maine- Fort Kent.
- Their leading scorer from the game against Maine was Jordan Minor. The freshman (6 foot 8 forward) had 16 points in his first college game
- To their credit, they did have four different players in double figures in that game, so it looks like they don't rely on just one guy (but this could be a product of not having a really good player on the team).
That's about all I got. Not much to find on these guys.
