Basketball GAMEDAY THREAD -- Rutgers versus Princeton

[IL Lusciato]

This was painful. I am much less encouraged about this year's team.

[The RUT]

Was on a plane, just landed and saw the score. Someone talk to me, what’s happening

[RUChoppin]

Positive spin on "starters can't score" is "look at those bench points!"

[kupuna133]

Team has some fundamental issues. Don’t box out, not very good passers and can’t hit a layup.

More athletic. Went from slow and plodding to fast and trigger happy.

We will be fine but they need work.

[RUTrack94]

Bad showing … lots of season left, but man they stunk up the gym today.

[ImBadRU]

Play Princeton every year

[mikeylew1992]

Noah is 5’8 and instead of throwing a lob tries to go over the defenders.

Fast and out of control

[BillyC80]

That’s off of Princeton

[RUChoppin]

Play Princeton every year

The one good thing that might come out of this is that we don't play them again for another decade or more.

[RUby RED]

Hyatt getting played off the floor in game 1 is a horrible sign. Can’t afford to rush Mag back but this wing play isn’t sustainable

[Mr. Magoo1]

Bad showing … lots of season left, but man they stunk up the gym today.

Princeton is a better team. Period. Even if we somehow pull it out

[BillyC80]

Huge call here

We didn't come to play.

Princeton shooting lights out. We are missing layups and shots as usual.

We have no consistency anywhere. Gavin was a non-factor, Cliff couldn't hold on to the ball, Simpson was a disaster.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Off PU. Let’s go

[tm_nj]

Cliff has the worst hands ever

[Joey Bags]

How the **** is gavin not playing this entire freakin game.

[bac2therac]

Outplayed
Outhustled
Outcoached

[rob kight]

forget the possession he fouled Cliff

[RUsojo]

Was on a plane, just landed and saw the score. Someone talk to me, what’s happening

Imo short answer is pike has a completely different type of team yet coaching it the same as prior teams.

[PSAL_Hoops]

Cliff been keeping us in this game on both ends, needs some help.

Cliff hasn’t been that good either. We don’t look good on either end.

[njxchange]

idk how Gavin is not playing, I would be transferring if I was him and he would be too if he was older and realized what’s happening

what?

he's not having the best game... he looks like freshman out there who needs to gain alot of playing time...

[Plum Street]

Refs still mess up calls with replay

[kupuna133]

Fast and out of control

Yep. Out of control without the ability to score or pass very well.

Have 4 guards that all want to play the same way. Head down and score first rather than dribble and dish.

[jkernpop]

Why review and waste our time to make the wrong call

[RUsojo]

Cliff hasn’t been that good either. We don’t look good on either end.

? Cliff has 12/8/4(blocks)/1 stl on 50% shooting.

[Mr. Magoo1]

Ridiculous that Davis is in

[RW90]

I'm convinced. Faster but not better.

[bac2therac]

Our starters played like ***

[RUIvyKnight20]

Ridiculous that Davis is in

Hes been the best guard tonight

[tm_nj]

That was a bad call but Princeton was the better team tonight

[Joey Bags]

Worst 1st game in years. If Gavin ends up a project this is going to be a brutal year

[FrankZ_RU93]

Learn how to use glass ages too late

[zebnatto]

Better team gonna win.

We look a mess.

[RU89]

How the **** is gavin not playing this entire freakin game.

BECAUSE HIS DEFENSE IS SHOCKINGLY BAD! He can't even be mad. Better defense, more minutes. As simple as that.

[RAC’emUp]

If you’re going to lose this miserably at least you could play your freshman 5 star a bit.

[Mr. Magoo1]

what?

he's not having the best game... he looks like freshman out there who needs to gain alot of playing time...

And some weight and muscle

[ScarletLongIsland_rivals]

Typical Pike early season garbage. Totally unprepared. Where was Griffiths?

[bac2therac]

Embarrassing

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

Rookie mistake J-Mike
