Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers versus Indiana

[drewbagel423]

**** spot

Raymond needs to just run

He dances way too much. Would've had it if he just charged ahead

[RUeric]

Spot was fine. Raymond just has to get it. Fair play to the Indiana defender for making the stop.

[RUinDJsMom]

Ya go hard forward. He did the same thing on another catch

[Ru-baby]

You are way off and how Gameday operations work if you think the head coach is making all of the substitutions and calling all of the players. Yes, dictating the big picture but the plays itself. I realize it’s personal animus but it just actually not correct.

Great catch by Duff and give the deadline some credit.

[rob kight]

We got. The wrong BC. Portal person

[JoeBeer]

Last game of this era, my friends.

[eddynyse]

Horrible spot by the ref. they aren't even trying to look to make sure it was the right spot.. yikes

[RUinDJsMom]

Last game of this era, my friends.

Can schiano tomorrow?

[drewbagel423]

Can schiano tomorrow?

Why wait that long?

[RUinDJsMom]

Why wait that long?

I have historically been a big Greg fan. When my little bro passed we put in his obituary that he was a huge RU fan….My brother was at Wagner as SID so someone told Greg idk but Greg sent along a personal note to us.
But it’s over. I wanted him gone after week 1.

[Rutgers25]

If he’s not fired after this game then I think he’s making it through the season

[Ru-baby]

Did anyone not think indiana would exploit the talent differential and defensive coaching? This team can still compete with other Big Ten teams. They are definitely being hamstrung by playcalling, but hopefully that can get sharpened.

[King of S]

Another 4 hour game in the making.

From all accounts it sounds like he is a decent person. Just a **** coach and way past his time.

[Caliknight]

The violence went with is much less than the violence IU plays with. Stadium looks good on tv at least.

[newell138]

Guys are dropping like flies

keep chopping!

Varies on who you talk to. There isn’t a lot of love for him across the dept from support staff, admins, and other coaches. Pike? Different story.

[RUboston]

Let him finish the season. The day after the MI State game, end this travesty.

[Mr. Magoo1]

Let him finish the season. The day after the MI State game, end this travesty.

Why? The recruiting will be worse than it already is. No one wants to play for this walking-dead clown.

[RUeric]

0 for a million on QB sneaks. Worst coaching staff in America.

Could just be that he's a hard *** of a boss. He's a known micromanager.

[Wagram97]

This staff is done.

Tired, old, and boring.

[AnonAmoose26]

JV versus Varsity

[Ru-baby]

Lonergan is least powerful qb we have had

half yrd and him ant raymond

just making it harder than needs to be

[RUGuitarMan1]

Just an awful job with the defensive transfer signings. Most of these guys lack the athleticism and size to compete at this level. The defense is going to really wear down in the 2nd half.

[ClassOf02v.2]

Offensive playbook on full display

Definition of insanity

[Bueller]

Charlie becker is like Godzilla out there. Knocked Sanders out then caught a touchdown pass.

A lot of draft projections have him top ten and ahead of Duff, I'm not sure that's accurate but they are both great contested catchers. Duff makes the circus catches but Becker is fast (Tenn state champ in 110 and 300m hurdles - might be sub 4.4 in 40) and often has to slow down for Indy QB. Both have catch radiuses like Big Ben clock. Both can thrive in red zone

[SBP]

Unbelievable that you don’t pass one down to your best receiver

[Postman_1]

If only we had a better field house

[Wagram97]

If they had just thrown it up for grabs to Duff, I could live with that. Instead it’s the same crappy 4th down plays that never work.

[Anon1753410373]

Gosh the OL is poor.

wow wtf

[Fat Koko]

WTF? 3 QBs in 3 plays?

[rutgersguy2]

WTF? 3 QBs in 3 plays?

Must’ve been channeling Steve Spurrier

[RUeric]

What the hell is this staff doing? Bring in Ashenfelder to get smashed.

[rosenst2]

This season was lost before Labor Day.

It's beyond painful watching anymore.

[ClassOf02v.2]

OMG, what on earth are we doing? I’m no big Lonergan fan, but pull him after the last series where the play call was 4 straight runs into the line? And then Ashenfelder? What’s going on?

[Caliknight]

Gosh the OL is poor.

wow wtf

The entire team sucks except our RB and Duff.

Greggo in desperate mode playing the 3rd string QB lol

[Mr. Magoo1]

What the hell is this staff doing? Bring in Ashenfelder to get smashed.

Smashenfelder?

[RUinDJsMom]

What in the hell is going on????? Surace then Ashenfelder. Back to Surace. They just gave up that possession. Fire them all
