Gameday experience

Overall, the gameday experience for the UT game was better than prior games this year. The audio quality was better this week and last, without the constant barrage of bass. The fans that showed up did a great job in drowning out any noises that emanated from the orange fans or band. I only was able to discern the first few notes of Rocky Top one time. Now the bad: I won't address the quantity of orange. That dead horse is sufficiently tenderized. So, I only have 2 additional negative comments:
1. When we missed the 4th down in OT to end the game there was utter silence from the PA system. UT's band and fans gladly filled the void. If there were ever a time for announcements of the next home game, ticket info, soccer schedule, farting into the mic, something, anything - that was the time. But no, just angry disappointed State fans having to listen to the UT celebration. That is one thing our friends up north have down to a science. The instant the final horn sounds after every EB we win in Oxfart the announcer over their obnoxiously loud PA system starts going on and on about things for several minutes. We should take note.
2. When leaving the West side's main entrance on the south to the Junction, only 2 of the 8 gates between the plaza and the junction were open, causing a backup all the way into the concourse greatly slowing down our escape from the big orange celebration. Not a very safe thing to do - especially given the circumstances.
Now get off my lawn.

I will add one more experience to the list here:

Guys, it was a really disappointing loss. I know. We all felt it. We were a little stunned at the ending. But please, for God’s sakes, please start making your way toward the exits within at least a couple of minutes of the game ending if we lose. Nobody in my row or the rows around me moved for at least 6-7 minutes after the game ended so we were forced to either sit there and watch Tennessee celebrate the win or climb over people to start leaving.

Again, I know we were crushed to lose and it’s not something you think about but it did get super annoying after standing there 3-4 full minutes without any movement whatsoever. I don’t really want to watch a team celebrate a win over my team on our home field.

Hurry up and get out of the stadium, so you can go sit in your car for an hour waiting to get out of the parking lot and off campus?

We should do it like the buffet line at the annual Chamber banquet: in order of section number starting with the lowest on each side.

Why do we still board airplanes from the front to the back?
This literally bothers the 17 out of me. Its the most inefficient way possible.

And I get you want to give the front of the plane preference due to points and money spent, but i sit in comfort plus and first class a decent amount. I'd much rather wait to last and just chill in waiting area as long as i know ive got room in my overhead for my bag.

And there’s your answer.

Usually people leave as soon as the game is over. People were kind of in shock at the ending of this one so I understand why they just sat there in disbelief. That was a crazy finish.

Yes. Yes that’s exactly what I would like to do and listen to the postgame show. Don’t think it’s asking a ton.

Tailgating after the game is 100x better than sitting in 17-ing traffic for 2 1/2 hrs
Win or lose!
Fire up the grill, eat drink and Saturday Night QB it to death until the traffic is ALL gone!
