Can't bet this game there so you'd be hard pressed to get them to put it on.Favorites. Watch the game. Bet on others plus the ponies.
What's that place with the good pizza - Strawberry's Pub? I don't how it is for sports viewing but heard good things about the pizza.
Can he bring his kid into an OTB?Favorites. Watch the game. Bet on others plus the ponies.
Yes and no. The betting area you have to be 18 but the restaurant and bar area is McLoones Grille. Can he bring his kid into an OTB?
The bar area doesn't care if you can't bet on Rutgers or not. They would put on. The gambling rooms you are probably right. Can't bet this game there so you'd be hard pressed to get them to put it on.

Maybe record the game and watch when you get home. That's what I'll be doing.Any good spots to watch the Minnesota game in Woodbridge. My Kid has hockey games at the Woodbridge Community Center at 12:30 and 5:45 pm. Not enough time to cut home to Tom's River.
My go to TavernLiberty Tavern in Fords.
Call tonight and ask if they have BTN.
You don't think some codger looking for some obscure track would object? I'd bet on it.The bar area doesn't care if you can't bet on Rutgers or not. They would put on. The gambling rooms you are probably right.
They have plenty of TVs in the gambling area for the old codgers...like me lolYou don't think some codger looking for some obscure track would object? I'd bet on it.
Why go to a place with no or little TVs ? They might not even have BTN . Millers will definitely have it and he might be able to get sound therePossibly Woodbridge Brewing Company, formerly known as JJ Bitting? I haven't been there since they changed over, but it's a brewpub with a small little bar with I think 4 TVs. No TVs by the tables, only the bar. In college I worked at the pro shop in the Woodbridge Community Center, you can get to Woodbridge Brewing in about 5 minutes from there. Make a left out of the parking lot and it'll be on your right when you get to the train station. LeGrand Coffee House is about half a mile away, just around a couple corners.
Yeah but he doesn’t live there . He’s got like a 3 hour window to watch the game near his kids sport eventThe best place to watch the game if you live in Woodbridge is any bar in New Brunswick.
Lots of bad info in this thread. People trying to send you to places that don’t have TVs or may not have the channel . Or an antiquated OTB where you may not even get the game on . I am surprised no one chimed in with Staten Island bars yet.Any good spots to watch the Minnesota game in Woodbridge. My Kid has hockey games at the Woodbridge Community Center at 12:30 and 5:45 pm. Antiquated OTB??? Talk about bad info!Lots of bad info in this thread. People trying to send you to places that don’t have TVs or may not have the channel . Or an antiquated OTB where you may not even get the game on . I am surprised no one chimed in with Staten Island bars yet.
People are making this way more difficult for the OP ….just go to millers ale house . It’s a decent chain. I have been to a few of them including the Woodbridge one. You won’t get the best burger or pizza you had in your life there , or hit the biggest horse superfecta . But this gets the job done for your needs today. This is what these chains do as people come in looking for random games all the time .
Millers have two bars in them . Go sit in the outside one that is kinda like an enclosed patio . It’s not really outside . Probably better shot to get sound for game on there then the traditional dining room …Plum nails it again ‘!!

I don’t think Strawberry’s pub was a bad recommendation at all after reading up on the place some more. Miller’s calls itself an ale house but its tap list sorta sucks. Bad take from you. You should sit out from posting for 24 hours.Lots of bad info in this thread. People trying to send you to places that don’t have TVs or may not have the channel . Millers ale house on route 9. We go to the one in watchung sometimes and Langhorne. It’s a chain, get the job done for your needs. Then get some coffee at legrand’s.
I don’t think it’s open yet, but I read somewhere November. Arooga’s on 22 recently closed. When did the one in Watchung open? I go past it quite often and it looked under construction about a week or two ago.
Sorry meant Woodbridge .When did the one in Watchung open? I go past it quite often and it looked under construction about a week or two ago.

I only went in there twice and it didn't seem like a lot was going on. The Texas Roadhouse seems to do well.I was at Costco the other day and saw that Arooga's was closed. That place was always dead, I was only there one time.
I think it's half-shtick. So, you know, it's probably only half bad.Does any board persona think more highly of himself then Plum ? It’s absurd the amount of self congratulations, mostly unwarranted to boot.
Strawberry's has great pizza, especially the bacon-cheddar and Mexican pizzas. Yum.What's that place with the good pizza - Strawberry's Pub? I don't how it is for sports viewing but heard good things about the pizza.
One of the best burgers around. Super underrated.Liberty Tavern in Fords.
Call tonight and ask if they have BTN.
Will be my home away from home for the upcoming World Cup! Go USA!Haileys Pub in metuchen has a number of TVs and will def have the game on. Food is good and only a 10 minute drive from WCC
Hailey's is definitely a good place to watch US soccer. They'll crank the TV sound, and the crowd is usually pretty engaged and enthusiastic. Will be my home away from home for the upcoming World Cup! Go USA!
I also went in Arooga's back in the day because I had a Groupon or something like that. Food was poor. Bar was nice I thought but the place was absolutely dead.I only went in there twice and it didn't seem like a lot was going on. The Texas Roadhouse seems to do well.
That's my impression. That's why I bust his balls back.I think it's half-shtick. So, you know, it's probably only half bad.
Also, I've noticed that people often misread some of my posts when it comes to self-promoting posts. If I'm engaging in some form of self-promotion, then it's 99.5% likely to actually be facetious and what I'm actually doing is making fun of myself (and possibly others) more indirectly than my typical direct self-deprecation. I'm intentionally setting myself up as a target for (hopefully humorous or at least entertaining) insulting responses.
I've seen others do the same here. So maybe Plum's doing that, too. It's kind of hard to tell.
@Plum Street has balls of steel. Just ask him. That's my impression. That's why I bust his balls back.
