Most of the time that's true but is it really true for this Huskers team? If it rains, all of a sudden the game is played in a phone booth. Playing in space becomes a lot less effective and turnovers become more likely and critical. Can Nebraska win a game like that against Ohio State?

I think for Nebraska to win, the offense needs to attack all parts of the field and get its play makers in space and get AM rolling out of the pocket, and all of that becomes exponentially harder if its a rainy game.

If footing is bad I think it helps OSU. One of my biggest fears in this game is that they will take advantage of our inconsistent safeties and complete several long passes. Bad footing gives an advantage to the receivers

I can't answer to be exact on delay, but aside from last year's Akron game, iirc we may have had a brief one during a night game during the Bo years?

After Akron last year, they said it had been 100+ years since a game had been cancelled

Disagree. We need the home crowd big time. Nothing kills a frenzied crowd more than a weather delay.

I think rain hurts us. We aren’t a good running team. I don’t think we can run on them without a good passing game. Not sure the same is true for Ohio state. Not to mention, we’ll need a few turnovers to stay in it. And I dobbins getting 35 carries isn’t the way to get turnovers.

If we had nature grass like Missouri did in the old big 8/12, they would be running the sprinkler on the field all week long till about an hour before kickoff to slow down Nebraska

A fast track favors speed. Any variance of that could help the slower team. I agree with you about wet conditions helping receivers. With our kicking game woes, I'd like to see more wind. A strong 20 mph cross wind would be nice.

Either way, we need to find a way to win the turnover battle to have any chance tonight.
