Our "defense" (they don't deserve that title...) is just god awful. Part of it is that OU is pretty good too. Though still behind Bama and UGA like everyone else.

I’m just not going to put any of this on MJ. He can’t fix it in 1 week vs a top 10 team. I’m not sure he can fix any of it no matter how long he has tbh.

As much as I like Mickey Joseph and as much as there is no way you can blame him for this debacle, at this point there is no way he should be hired. We need to make a clean break with this entire staff. We need a proven head coach and not a guy who is learning how to be a head coach. We must hire someone who has proven he can recruit at a high level and who can build and sustain a program. Mickey will get his chance to be a head coach someday. It just should not be here. So much of recruiting is about national perception and right now we need an entirely new narrative in order to change the script.

Yes. We simply MUST hire someone who has already proven they know what they're doing.

I don’t necessarily disagree but I think you got to wait and see how it plays out with MJ. He could fire Chin, Raiola and Duval tomorrow and/or we could start to make progress, win a few games (though he needs to get us to 6 or 7).
If it ain’t MJ then it has to be a guy that is an experienced B1G/SEC Head Coach imo. Picking a guy that doesn’t have that experience or that fields a consistent top 25 team is a gamble. And we could be sitting in the same place 5 years from now.

Our guys almost always go backwards when they make the tackle. We're weak, that's why we miss so many.

Told ya!! Everyone said Armstrong sucked. Same with T Martinez. He’s light years better than anyone on this roster. The fact we have to be the slowest most in athletic team in the top 50 has something to do with it. And it’s not changing. Only getting worse with the changes and transfers coming. And the graduating ones.
I don't understand why we can't be a little more creative in our run game. I'd be finding as many plays as I could for those guys. They are definitely the bright spots on the team. I'm not sure I'd pass at all...the f'ing WR screens to Palmer, I don't understand, you'd think we would want that guy catching in stride. How about running him some end arounds, isn't he the fastest guy on the team?
