It's funny how things work out so often according to the numbers.

We were 26 points better than this team per Vegas and we won by 25.

Just about the only thing Albany has done all season long is create turnovers on defense and such enough that's the one area we struggled with tonight. Probably more on us than anything they did but still it wasn't surprising.

it's early.
We aren't going to beat the point spread every day.

But yeah eventually you don't want to be sitting in the 10th-15th overall range if u have dreams of winning a title. But there's still room. We crushed the point spread vs Robert Morris and we overperformed against Ohio as well. To the point where we have moved up a little bit already (from 17th to 12th)
Yep.

Let’s see if we can stretch our average margin of victory over those 7 games to over 28. We’re at 27 currently.

A whole slew of teams in the 20s.

Right now that's how it looks and I'm using Kenpom because it follows so closely to Vegas. I think UK needs to get up to that 3rd row along with Michigan Duke etc. Which I think is certainly possible. I think you want to be in that group of say 6-8 teams that are most likely winning the title. I guess we'll find out if we can get there or not or is this looking to be another S16/E8 type season.

Kenpom figures
Bob Morris 290th
Mt St Marys 296th
Ohio 100th
Albany 301st
North Florida 245th
Central Michigan 308th
Southern 300th

KP predicted a 26 point win. We won by 25. So did exactly what was expected. Nothing more. Nothing less.
That’s an ugly schedule. Sheesh.

Another thing to like is 3 of these first 5 we have made close to 60% of our 2 point buckets.
This should very well be Cal's best shooting team since he's been here. And if that's the case and you are rebounding all of those misses, you are going to have one heck of an efficient offense.
