Most shocking half of the season. We have blown a 21 point lead to UT with Barnes before with a much better UK team (albeit in Knoxville) so we need to keep this going n 2nd half.

As far as I'm concerned the emergence of Livingston is mostly why we're better.

Hopefully Reeves will be on in the second half. The offense really struggles with him out.

Oddly UT has really struggled this year offensively against a blow average UK defense. Sometimes it’s just about matchups. Cats matchup well with UT and not ARK for example.

They are playing good defense and it helps that TENN can’t throw it in the ocean so far.

They missed a bunch of wide open shots to open the game but we tightened up after that. Of course they aren't going to miss them all again. They will make a run we just have to keep playing with the same effort and intensity.

He definitely doesn’t like me talking about roster minutes with wheeler. Keeps thinking I want him to die or something. I just think the team is way better without him.

Three reason we look better the last couple of games

1. We aren’t forcing the offense to run through the post
2. The defensive intensity is much better.
3. Livingston is giving us great minutes and growing before our eyes.

And you can bet your backside that those refs know which of our players have those 2 fouls. Wouldn't at all surprise me to see a cheap one on one of our guys within the first 1 minute.

Frustrating year in a lot of ways, but I’ll give our guys credit for this much. They’re fighting harder than ever today instead of mailing it in. Hopefully we can play with this kind of intensity for the rest of the season and not just for a big game today.

This I think is Cal’s greatest test and the true measuring mechanism as to where his priorities are during this tumultuous time at UK; and that’s what will he do when Wheeler and Frederick are healthy?


My guess is he will implement Wheeler into the game plan and ramp up his minutes per the practice of loyalty and commitment to his players-first mantra. And it will predictably be to the detriment and yet again early demise of the team.


And this, folks, is the biggest problem with Cal. His priorities. That being said, I’m loving the 20pt lead at half. One can’t help but to wonder if this could have been our team had it been “team first” from the beginning.
