Wheeler last stretch definitely hurt us but that run Duke made after we went up 1 was all on Tyty Washington
Wheeler did lead the SEC in TO's last year. Maybe he will learn that he can not challenge a shot blocking 7 footer. Some one tell me one play that Cal has ran tonight? Once again we look like an AAU team. God help us if Oscar goes down this season. Duke has shot more FT's because everything they are getting is inside. Damn what a pair of Freshmen Keels and Banchero are..we have had no answer for either of them. we countered with Collins, Hopkins and Washington..complete mismatch..

what backwards snow monkey (the little ones up in the mountains in the far east.. forgot the name) didnt know that we had a team not capable of getting their own shots? Oscar, Grady, Mintz etc would be in the damn NBA right now if they could. The problem is Cal didnt put in any offensive plays they needed to get good shots... they are experienced and accustomed to normal practices and plays... but nope. square peg , round hole this mother trucking team is what cal does... we're not even a college team, we're NBA farm system NC-AAU

The sooner the half of the fanbase that's enamored with this ******** comes around to reality, the faster we can move on from this garbage and get back to looking like Kentucky.
My takes for what they’re worth:
1). When Oscar is on the bench we have absolutely no presence in the paint. If we turned down Cockburn (I don’t know if we did or not) it was a HUGE mistake.
2). I don’t think there’s any doubt Washington will be very good, but he really tried to do way too much in this game.
3). Wheeler needs to learn when to drive and when not to. He also needs to dish the ball more instead of shooting at the rim. Too small and too many blocked shots.
4). Two of Brooks, Toppin, Ware, and Hopkins have to step up and contribute on a regular basis. We can’t rely completely on Oscar to score in the paint. Toppin is the best of the bunch right now.
5). We have to shoot much better from the perimeter (Duh).
6). Cal better start working on some zone defense because we’re not going to stop a team with size when Oscar is on the bench.
7). I know we won’t, but we need to press some to utilize our depth at guard.

Holy wow. Were we even trying to win the last two minutes or just running drills? Unbelievable.
As good as Wheeler was in the 1st half,he was equally as bad the second.

Too much Wheeler in the 2nd and TyTy in the 1st. Low IQ BB. Made it way too hard with long-contested 2s.

That’s 1 play wheeler made several awful decisions in the last 5 minutes. Tyty took some questionable shots he never played with the ball in his hands it’s a waste. We re gonna ride or die with wheeler and he has some terrible habits
Me too but unfortunately had to turn it off. For the first time ever I’m starting to wonder if we will ever be good again. Is Coach Cal the answer? I don’t know. Very confusing. This was supposed to be happy bounce back season. The revenge tour or whatever. But it hasn’t been so fun….. yet

When you look at it, we shot the ball like *** and turned it over at least 20 times and didn't get beat as bad as you would think, but we're supposed to be better than this. We choked and we have a lot to work on. The talent dispaity really showed tonight.
