Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Wisconsin

[RU MAN]

Cliff, grab the ball and go up. I love you but this isn't AAU ball.

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

Too many empty trips killing us. Wisky hitting their shots down the stretch.

[bac2therac]

very winnable game, pissed away, horrible all around by coaches and so called star players, every one of them

[GSGS]

1-11 from field. Ron NBA Harper Jr.

Now the good news - he'll be back next year!

[RW90]

Our game sets offense back a century.

[RUsojo]

Four points last ten minutes MIGHT BE TIME TO START CARING ABOUT OFFENSE PIKE

[tfio]

Can’t believe this is where we are at now after the start we had to this year. Why the **** can’t Rutgers fans ever have nice things that last for more than 2 seconds

[newell138]

A few weeks ago I thought we were a lock to end our NCAA drought

[RU Mike73]

Nice Ole defense Geo

[RUby RED]

Two veteran squads. One showing it knows how to win down the stretch. The other is folding. No one looks like they want the ball on our end of the floor, sad honestly

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Our offense is brrrrrrrruuuuuuuuutttttttaaaaalllllll

I hate to agree but giving up a 10-0 run was the worst part

[Scarlet Knut]

Someone above used the perfect word above to describe RU. PATHETIC

[Rufaninga]

If we had A hot hand, we could ride it. But....

[Shell21]

Bad rotations tonight and just awful awful
Shooting . D and rebounding much improved at least

[RU848789]

I really thought we were going to win tonight. Hard to win if you can't shoot.

[MLBash93]

JY has no basketball IQ

Mathis is a predictable player

Geo is predictable.

Caleb can't hit the rim consistently.

We blow

[Scangg]

Harper isn’t going to the nba this year

Silver lining lol

[ClassOf02v.2]

I’m very worried about the psyche of this team. We’ve had a lot of chances to show our mental strength and every time we’ve gone the wrong direction. To quote a recent post on this board, “something is wrong.”

[shields]

Team sucks.

[ScarletDave]

12 points in the second half. Pike has lost his mind out there. Worst offense I’ve ever seen, worse than Eddie Jordan. Going to do something even Eddie didn’t do, lose to Wisconsin at the RAC. Wisconsin won’t even score 60 points. Putrid

[80RU]

Cliff has been making bad decisions on the switches. Freshman mistakes.

[RUsince52]

Shame on Ron.

He's on the Timex watch listing now !

[whofrewdatmataRU13]

Imagine just rooting for a team that can actually win..... not at Rutgers

[RU MAN]

12 points in the second half is disgraceful. Wisconsin was begging us to blow them out and all we did was play stupidly on the offensive end.

[GSGS]

Can anybody here shoot?

[MadRU]

Harper isn’t going to the nba this year

Or next year

[RW90]

This offense is Jordanesque. Eddie not Michael.

[Joey Bags]

They aint about it. They simply aint about it.

B1G competition is gonna clown these guys six ways to sunday week in week out.

[bethlehemfan]

It comes down to guard play. Geo is a total no show. If geo is gonna suck the team is gonna suck I think we can put the brakes on Harper to the nba (stupid talk to the extreme).

[Scangg]

I really thought we were going to win tonight. Hard to win if you can't shoot.

No one. No oneeeee stepping up. Someone needs to start right now.

[RU89]

WE HAVE 12 second half points ??!!??!!

And not cause of great defense on their part. Just unbelievable loss of confidence as a collective team. Hard to watch and somewhat bewildering

[richthedentist]

Four points last ten minutes MIGHT BE TIME TO START CARING ABOUT OFFENSE PIKE

12 in the whole second half

[RUby RED]

Effort not the problem at all tonight. But 12 combined points from Ron, Geo and Tez through 36 minutes isn’t gonna cut it in a conference game

[fluoxetine]

This team sucks. I’m no longer certain Pike is actually a good coach.

[Mr. Magoo1]

I really thought we were going to win tonight. Hard to win if you can't shoot.

we’re missing everything but it’s all one on one garbage.

[motorb54]

5 assists
13 turnovers
And we have been blocked way more times than they have.

Young misses front end of 1 and 1 AGAIN
Ugh!

[Rufaninga]

Bad rotations tonight and just awful awful
Shooting . D and rebounding much improved at least

Do we practice shooting in the fancy new facility?

[PSAL_Hoops]

RHJ just doesn’t look the same since the injury. He’s a completely different player. And without a player like that on the floor as a complement it’s impacting JY too.

[Shell21]

12 points in the second half is disgraceful. Wisconsin was begging us to blow them out and all we did was play stupidly on the offensive end.

Yep; Wisconsin was iced cold for an extended period and we missed shot after shot , layup after layup. That’s where we lost ; and we never ever get to the line.

[tfio]

Start playing Jaden Jones next game. Screw it. Maybe he can make a 3
