Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Iowa

[RuBird]

Refs protecting the home team………again

[koleszar]

And that's why Reiber doesn't play a lot.

[RedTeamUpstream94]

paul takes an awful drive, mag loses rebound, phantom call on paul. brooootal

It was not an awful drive. He drove and got fouled. No call- of course

[rufeelinit]

Just fighting ourselves way too much to win this.

[FIJI'83]

Not smart Reib

[bac2therac]

High degree of difficulty pass in crunch time

Smfh

Game 9ver

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

Iowa guy lowered his shoulder into R no foul. They double dribble how the hell is that foul again on Paul. Every freakin time we make a run the refs stomp on us.

[RutgersNo1]

Dean what were u thinking

[shields]

Stupid pass by Dean.

[bac2therac]

Iowa totally beat us and did it like 3 times

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

🗡

[RU848789]

21-26 vs. 10-13 FTs is the difference, on 21-13 fouls. Thought the first half was reffed well, but the 2nd half has been lopsided.

[bitnez]

I guess Cam faked the foul? This is dumb

[bethlehemfan]

We got screwed bad here.

[Scangg]

Dean needs to pull the trigger on that 3. Really poor decision making there

[chase07470]

Tip the cap to Iowa. It was their day. Played hard and shot lights out. Not much you can do.

[PatrickRU92]

Worst officiated game of the season

OSU says hi

[anon_xekqhstck0ygt]

Spencer’s hit in the face no call. Conner mccaffery is one dirty player. Wild elbows all game long.

[FIJI'83]

DAGGER

[Rokodesh]

Refs deserve a slow, painful death

[RW90]

To be fair Cam was fouled on the drive given the earlier calls.

[Captain Hogleg]

And that's why Reiber doesn't play a lot.

Agreed. He had two weak plays when we needed him. Missing the dunk plus one and then passing up the wide open 3 look for a dumb pass to Cliff.

[Caliknight]

This is one team where our length is not an advantage for us

Yep. They can shoot over it.

Offense beats defense in basketball.

As I said in the first Q we were going to have to win this game on offense. We can’t do that right now.

[anon1753890747]

We did not play well, and the refs took any opportunity we had to win this game away from us
Really infuriating

[cm_13]

how does caleb left murray straight like drive left. makes no sense. let someone else finish the game

Because he’s playing with 4 fouls.

[gigantor1024]

Basketball is easy when you get 30 from 3, 30 from FTs

[JoeDell27]

we drive to the basket all game long and still not in the bonus with a minute left. They were in the bonus with 14 minutes left. LOL. BAC love your takes but the ones on the refs are awful.

[FIJI'83]

No moral victories in this league. Iowa is better, just a poor match up for us.

[koleszar]

Now here comes the calls to make it look close.

[Captain Hogleg]

The fact we let Iowa out hustle us, out defend us and out rebound us is in game prep. Pike needs to own this one - his team was once again not ready for Iowa

[RutgersLifeR]

28 free throws for Iowa versus our 13. Nice.

[anon_xekqhstck0ygt]

They call a foul finally and cliff wide open for a dunk….

[RW90]

Now come the makeup calls for the boxscore.

[BIGRUBIGDBIGredmachine]

OSU says hi

Ok 2nd worst

[greenknight]

Oyyyyyy you let them run down the clock and walk up and step into a 3 awful. Cliff should not be on him there

[RedTeamUpstream94]

Whining works

[FrankZ_RU93]

They call a foul finally and cliff wide open for a dunk….

Have to even things up somehow

[koleszar]

we drive to the basket all game long and still not in the bonus with a minute left. They were in the bonus with 14 minutes left. LOL. BAC love your takes but the ones on the refs are awful.

Yes that was the battle cry before, we just don't drive. This game the script flipped and somehow it was still lopsided.

[GORU2014]

Mag really afraid to go for the rebound down 10 with 47 seconds left?

[hawkit3113]

GG.

I have a feeling that this is the last win against you folks for the next three years.

Future is super bright and go finish strong.
