Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Iowa

[IL Lusciato]

Fouled by king doof. And then he walked on the other end with those ugly lumbering "dribbles".

[koleszar]

McConnell 0-7, at this point just whip it at the backboard you might just get lucky.

[RU MAN]

He and the announcers thought he was fouled.

He was on the first part of it. But then he missed the bunny.

[80RU]

Garza gets away with an obvious foul, then complains on the other end.

[greenknight]

Mac go right the **** at Garza wha the **** is wrong with these guys

[GORU2014]

This year I’ve never seen Myles out of control.

Don’t know what to say to that

[Caliknight]

Hard to criticize Caleb since he has been all over the place but it would be great if he could make a shot at some point

He shouldn't shoot. He can't shoot. It's not his role. He needs to move it on, occupy the right spaces, crash boards. Unfortunately, we don't have any shooters.

[RUBlackout]

A few of our guys need to drink a Red Bull. Don’t let JY near that stuff though

[RU848789]

Y’all still loving this new starting lineup that’s getting smoked?

uh, they're 4-0 - dumb post

[Rokodesh]

Y’all still loving this new starting lineup that’s getting smoked?

uhh the backups are Young and Montez who couldn't hold on to the ball if their lives depended On it

[RU Mike73]

These refs ****** suck McConnell gets fouled Garza moving pick and then the ball out of bounds on Garza f this can't beat this team 5 against 8

Please stop. We are awful tonight.

[jerzeyguy]

Iowa is jusr a bad matchup for us. Luckily Garza will gon next yr

[RU MAN]

he’s been the worst offensive player on the team all year other than last game

I don't know about the worst, considering we have a lot of players playing like he is. Can anyone say Ron?

[Plum Street]

They have a very high IQ. They all understand spacing very well, movement, and know how and when to feed the post.

It's how they are able to consistently get uncontested open looks. Say what you want about their D, which they obviously don't even need tonight, but they are a well coached, smart, talented offensive team.

Iowa sometimes has 5 white guys on the court at same time . It is very rare

[RUby RED]

RHJ killing us.

Weirdest part is we seemingly don’t even try to get him that involved. Very few set plays any more for him. Almost as if we’ve given up on him being the “lead dog” — strange to me tho given the potential we as a team showed when he was cooking

[bac2therac]

Caleb 0-7

[RW90]

I know confidence and rhythm play a part in it, but how is this the same offense from earlier this season? How do we go from red hot to ice cold?

[BOCA93]

I’d be happy with 1 pure shooter. Iowa seems to have them at all 5 spots. Really frustrating team to play

[RU MAN]

Garza gets away with an obvious foul, then complains on the other end.

The thing is, he won't get those calls in the NCAA's.

Set plays he asks?

[RUPartisan]

We are down double digits and McConnell can't score. How can he still be in the game?!?!

[richthedentist]

I am sorry Mulcahy sucks tonight; 4 guard offense we are just too small

[Rokodesh]

I've never seen anyone with worse butterfingers than us.

[RUJMM78]

They can shoot. We can't. Basketball is an offensive game. The defensive mentality is great, but you have to be able to score. We simply can't do it with any consistency.

Pike, find out who Iowa is recruiting and get a couple of those guys. They are sorely needed.

Spot on comment.Defense keeps teams in games but offense is what wins games.Recruiting shooters should always be the top priority.

[Plum Street]

He score !

[greenknight]

We need to take our ******* skirts off. Put shorts on and play like men. It's a physical game play physicall

[tfio]

Caleb always gives 100% I’ll give him that

[newell138]

Finally

[RUsojo]

I don't know about the worst, considering we have a lot of players playing like he is. Can anyone say Ron?

the worst offensive field goal percentage

[Rokodesh]

Nice job young

[bac2therac]

well that could be the turning point...Caleb and JY back to back plays and drawing the foul on that goon

[RU MAN]

It's about time that tall slug got called for an offensive foul.

[greenknight]

PM if your going to drive why pass it out

[Rokodesh]

Offensive my ***

[koleszar]

Mathis how many times do we have to see this? It's like a horror show at this point Mathis. PASS THE BALL.

[Captain Hogleg]

Does Montez even know what a pass is?

[bac2therac]

Mathis should sit the rest of the game.....he continually does the same thing every single ******* game..he is a big disappointment

[richthedentist]

Montez pass the ball for once

[RU MAN]

What a ******** call against Tez. But once again, Tez drives and never looks for the open man.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

How can it be a charge when Garza jumped up?
