Good start to the 3rd qtr, w 5:48 left in qtr, RU up 45-26.

sure but then they scored just 9 in the 2nd against a woeful team getting outscored
Why might that be? They are very fast out of the gate and then let big leads turn into not so big leads. Exhaustion?
Scored the first 9 pts of the quarter. I think that when they have a lead, they experiment with different plays and players. I really don't think Illinois has has a chance in this one.
the issue is that they play down to the competition meaning every game goes down to the wire..it wont tonight because Illinois is god awful but these are the things that trip RU up when it comes to important games..its the reason why this team bows out in the B10 tourney and in the first round of the NCAA tourney
I think we should have higher expectations for this program..such as Big 10 championships and Sweet 16 appearances...its been forever
Well, I agree with your last paragraph. Maybe it will come together. Maybe the team is finding itself. Frankly, I have not watched too many women's hoops games. By the comments here, seems paying for BTN+ is a waste of money. As we debate this, they are now up 50-28. Nice run.
It would be fantastic to have the men's and women's teams ranked next week. When was the last time that happened?

I think the experiment suggest plus getting a little out of focus is my hypothesis. Saw it earlier this year with men and pike. Lots of different parts to play with.

excellent focus and defensive effort, I am sure that CVS wasnt pleased at halftime and let them know..credit them for stepping up and executing like they are capable of
