There are no moral victories but this team is capable of hanging with good teams on the road. NU will win some more this year.

Disagree. We have been really good in OT games.
Got screwed on a no call but just missed too many passes and too many tackles. Even with a penalty there we have to score a TD and a 2 pt or go to OT and win, and we were just a step behind in every phase of the game today.
Well, it all accumulates. The holding penalty, all the third and sevens, missing open people, a no-call.
Stone made too many mistakes but there was plenty of blame all-round to cost us.
Also just like don’t give up a return TD in a defensive game
Shouldn’t have come down to that. The cheap kickoff return TD, which is inexcusable coming out of halftime, was the difference in the game.
I’ve been saying since we recruited him HS that the kid is talented. Just could not get healthy.
We have a reasonable chance to beat Illinois with this kind of effort. Just need to clean up special teams and get Stone to play a bit better by making smarter decisions.
First time in a lot of years we’ve had a TE actually develop. Used to be a calling card.
Absolutely should have been a flag for holding and an automatic first down. The CB was beaten and without the grab Wilde catches that for a TD.
We have a chance to beat anybody left with this effort. This was a disappointing loss but we could just as easily have won it. Both sides made big mistakes and a couple big plays, could easily have won.
USC and Michigan will be very tough. Illinois and Minnesota less so. Hope we don’t regret missing an opportunity to win today but we very well could.
