The broadcasters said that Thompson is in the starting lineup, but I don't think that's correct.
Already made numerous mistakes to kill the drive. No Braun does not learn. We need a complete change. The future is worse than bleak
Attempting a FG against Iowa is a defensible decision. They have a very good D. There was probably less than a 50% chance of picking up the 1st down, too.
So with the penalty, we end up getting the ball at the five yard line instead of at midfield. Nice. I say the chance of putting together a drive and getting points here are very low.
This is a probability you pulled out of your *** but even if it were true, that’s a substantially greater chance than converting the field goal, which has a best case scenario of being worth half a touchdown.
Despite all of these decisions and bad breaks, Cats are still in this one. Let’s put together a drive.
Given our backup kicker, I'm surprised Iowa didn't take that penalty on the extra point. It's not a gimme.
