Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Ball State

[catcrazy]

Using a player to leap up and block the punt. How dumb do you have to be to do that. Just a stupid play

[Deeringfish]

What the hell is leaping?

I know Right?

[JustGary]

I’m glad we got the flag off the defenders belt

[Deeringfish]

Second string is rushing and looks fresh

[TheC]

Tackling has been suspect today

[CappyNU]

What a hit by Oke!

[CappyNU]

Chiles' day is over.

[cattul]

London calling. Good for Oke!

[freewillie07]

well that was a LOT of run for the second-team D.

Nice reps
No injuries
No point allowed

good

[JustGary]

Proud of second team D

[freewillie07]

AI tells me last time NU scored over 50 was 2012.

There fresh and look fast at this stage of the game.

[TheC]

IU eeks one out

Can’t say I loved how QB2 looked. Yikes.

Good punt practice for our first year, nice to see it downed at the 2.

[Deeringfish]

Nice punt. Seems like what ever was the problem in the first game has been fixed

Well, AQB 2 might look better with the first string.

We haven’t had too many instances thus far I can recall like that — where there had to be some “touch” on the punt. Nice to have that one under his belt.

He was supposed to be one of the best in the nation and has looked better every week so I think he will be ok

[BosCat]

Looking ahead, what do people think the story line might be for next week?

Next week it will be Fitz Fitz, Fitz. I think I will get tired of it.

[Deeringfish]

First time undefeated in Non Con in 11 years wow

[catcrazy]

This is because we have a coach who plays not to lose but to take control and keep the foot on the gas pedal

[JustGary]

Michigan State doesn’t look good against Illinois

[jensberg]
