Third and long Timmy calls for a zone blitz with Saka dropping into coverage. Except there was no blitz so NU doubled an outlet receiver away from the play.

They look about two levels more athletic than NU. Bigger, faster, stronger. Tiernan had absolutely no chance at that block on the first play.

Seemed like trouble when on our first offensive play, our best OL guy completely whiffed on a block and almost got Stone’s arm ripped off. Downhill from there. We need to wake up.

Coaching already in shambles. Twelve men on D. Results in first and goal, TD. Simple stunt totally baffles the C who was terrible last year. Results in INT.

He didn’t drop it. Their QB was off… he rushed the pass because he felt some heat. Hopefully our defense is better than that first drive.

I’m not sure what that run was supposed to accomplish. Get them within a yard or two? You’re not scoring on a RB draw in a crowded box from seven yards out.

Really nice drive there. I’m surprised they ran it on third down for positive yards without a precalled fourth down play to rush the defense. I’d rather see if Stone can get it in the end zone instead of our third RB.

Ah well. A field goal and a rested defense. Let’s go Cats!
