Wheeler just chucked that free throw up, he didn’t even try to make it.
Wow a game that shouldn’t have ever been that close! I fear the next few games!
Offense was playing one of it's better games (not that that is saying much). So what do we do? Slow down and have to force shots and just get the team out of whack and scared. We then nearly lose another one because of it.
Cal coached well until there was about 4 minutes remaining when he continuously put Wheeler in bad spots by asking him to dribble the shot clock down to around 5 seconds. Cal is Wheeler's biggest problem. Wheeler catches hell from the fans for doing the dumb crap that Cal wants him to do.
I agree to a point. Looks like they actually ran some decent offense until the last 10 minutes. That’s something to build off of at least.
Already is. At least you have 17 other teams that no doubt one of which is having a good season.
Beat Arky so. But in the long run who knows. Win is a win in conference. On to the next.
Cal is no better with late game pressure than his players. He actually freaked out and went away from what was easily working by dribbling down the clock without his best shooter on the floor.
Wheeler will miss free throws in March to end UK’s season, be it the NCAAT or the NIT. Guaranteed. It’s a joke Cal even allows him on the floor late in a close game after what he did in that St Peters game.
LSU is unranked for a reason. They toughened up in the 2nd half, but against ranked teams, this isn't going to work.
It's like Cal is throwing darts to figure out how to run an effective offense.
It's still isolation, just more deliberate and causes desperation shots at the end of the shot clock. Not good.
In Baton Rouge and Arkansas is missing 2 of their best players, including a lottery pick
I'll take the W! But, we have to be more decisive on offense down the stretch and just play with more confidence. At the end, everyone looked scared to take a shot. Like to see Livingston be more aggressive attacking the rim and trying to get a shot. Too often he's just taking a 3 or deferring. He needs to try and score more around the basket. He's a good free throw shooter too if he gets fouled.
He’s done that all year. Doesn’t stop after the dribble and focus. Just flips it up

As I posted earlier, it isn't the players that will keep us from making a run in the tourney. It is our coach who appears completely lost at times.
