Does it drive anyone else crazy that we totally quit trying to score the last two minutes? I’d really be pissed if I had bet on the game and we were -11.
I can’t stand it when we quit trying to score at all. Don’t have to be careless, but don’t have to let the other team be the aggressor.
Reeves threw it away 2,on 1 and Toppin fumbled a rebound that let them score both in the last 30 seconds. Should have been 13 point win

Don’t worry. Our fans worked equally as hard to convince people why his 9:1 assist-to-TO ratio was an empty stat, all while ignoring anything else anyone did poorly. We are definitely the rational ones.
4 straight wins hard to argue against, but you're trying.

and throwing shade over a win against Ole Miss is the *perfect* time to do it

You thinking I’m discrediting Wallace at all shows your agenda. He has to be our main PG for us to be our best. No question there at all.

But to discredit Wheeler tonight is simply wrong. We are better with Wheeler running point than anyone other than Wallace. Not sure what you find so offsetting about that.

Well, I have an idea and it points to you being part of the hive mind that puts Wheeler as both the worst UK PG of the last 25 years and the sole reason for our struggles since he joined the team. Spoiler: he’s not our sole problem.

I didn't mention Wallace at all so you're making up your own scenario

Wheeler played a competent game tonight against a bad team. Its the bare minimum the PG at UK should do.

Why try to make it more than that?

Because you brought up the four games we won without him starting at PG? I’m no Sherlock Holmes, but that one was a bit obvious.

I wish I had your confidence when I'm wrong

Bringing up a winning streak when Wheeler isn't the PG can be simply saying he doesn't need to be the PG.

If the choices are Wallace or Wheeler, I want Wallace but I don't have any particular affinity for Wallace and I'm not sure how anyone can assume I see pro comments on Wheeler tonight as attacks on Wallace when Wallace couldn't play. But there you are.

I want the team that can beat UT. That team doesn't see Wheeler playing a significant role.

That team wasn't out there tonight, they weren't out there against Kansas

Here’s your silver lining: Reeves had his best game of the season scoring 27 points and made 6 of 7 threes. One of the best three point shooting performances in UK history. Now go to bed.
About to but I prefer consistency... don't kill me if I don't think Reeves can do that every game.

My boy Jodie Meeks did that in his sleep for an entire season... and that year sucked as well.

You are having a major issue understanding what I have said. Wallace should be PG1. No debate. But you seem to want to discredit what Wheeler did and brings to the team. Not sure why but your recent posts in the thread show that. I don’t care if it was against Ole Miss. we needed a win and Wheeler was a dang solid PG against Ole Miss on the road when we needed a win. Both that and Wallace needing to be our main PG can be true at the same time.
I look forward to you pointing out what part of what I said is wrong.

Then stop talking about Wallace, Sherlock.

You can't get it thru your head that my discussion on Wheeler has nothing to do with Wallace. I'm taking his play at face value, which I've said was the bare minimum he should be doing against a team like Ole Miss as the PG for UK - which he was tonight

now if you are going to respond, try really , really hard not to mention Wallace as PG 1 again while telling me my agenda is about discrediting Wheeler thinking you are attacking Wallace.

We already know he can’t do that every game. He is fresh off of a 3/9 performance against Kansas in which he didn’t make a single three.

Since you are so brilliant, what did Wheeler do tonight that was so bad? Should Thiero have had all his minutes? Please explain it to this simpleton, oh wise one.

Again, you’re the one that brought up the games we won with Wallace starting at PG, not me. Stop acting lIke I pulled that one out of nowhere.

2 of 8 from the floor. Nary a free throw attempt.

Interesting take from Cal. I saw him play some really poor defense and have his man take him off the dribble multiple times and score. I saw him commit at least three silly fouls. And I believe at least four of his points were on layups that were wide open because of a defensive breakdown.

If that’s all star mode for him, then his ceiling is really low

He's a net negative player, the stats don't lie and very rarely does that guy have a 9:1 ratio.

Keep in mind, we played Ole Miss last night, lets not act like we played Kansas, but you're trying to do just that.

The bottom line is, Wheeler, more times than not, is a net negative player. he played well last night, but again, it was Ole Miss.

My God, Cal has so many of our fans thinking that this is UK basketball we're watching.

The standards some of you have for this program, are pretty damn low.

Ole Miss is garbage, even before their 2 best players were out. They didn't put any pressure on the ball handlers and they sagged off Wheeler, so him only turning it over 1 time, should not net him some award.

Consider the opponent before you mouth off.

Why did I know these Cal fans would be out in full force after beating that juggernaut last night. Jeeeez

That was a quad 2 win. So Cats are now 4-0 in quad 2. Just need to get some quad 1 wins which won't be easy that means a road win over the tougher teams or a home win over the best teams.

I didn’t know that. Go demonstrate your ignorance to someone else.
hahaha! Your "Calipari is defintely gone" thread that you were posting on around the clock suddenly vanished from the 1st page and you didn't think anything of it. Not the slightest bit of interest where it went. You just figured people had lost interest......smh

Noooo, you'd never make anything up. Your always honest! What a farce.

Thanks for the belly laugh.

This team just has a extremely low basketball IQ man, so many chances to make this a 15 point game but they F*** around and let Florida get some confidence
