Game thread Kentucky vs arkansas

Lmao dramatic much? The 2nd one was inadvertent. You get elbowed, hacked, and grabbed every possession. This is an intense physical game on both ends.

The Arkansas players are over-exaggerating EVERY time Oscar uses his elbows to clear space. Oscar HAS TO be smarter and keep his elbows DOWN!!!!!

Well everyone all things considering a great first half for us to be up 4 without Wallace and all the Oscar possible fouls/techs/flagrants ect.

Kentucky 15-0 when leading at the half for what that is worth.

This game is similar to the first game very even 1st half we trailed that one by 1 point and then got our blows blown off. Maybe we blow their doors off this time ?

All in all we couldn't ask for much more so far.

Usually, Calipari gets outcoached at half. Don’t hold your breath.

I didn't see the early stuff, but that F1 call on him wasn't anything he did maliciously. He's playing hard, and when you play hard and go for rebounds/loose balls, sometimes there's going to be contact.

We lead but frustrating end to the half Oscar got his 2nd foul on doing something dumb that led to 2 pts for them then Collins just grab and hold the damn ball cost us 2 pts.

I've kind of gotten a small sense that some of these other coaches might be going easy on Cal this year. Sorta felt that way with the two games at Tennessee.

Agree 100%. Of the refs aren’t going to calm the grabbing and hacking don’t be shocked when he gets frustrated and just tries to get them off him. It’s a natural reaction.

How many times have we had the ball and lost it today, so weak with the ball. Arkansas can do without the punks that are trying to get Oscar out. Every foul called on Oscar is when he is getting mugged or pushed with both hands away from the play. Then they call any retaliation by Oscar, even if it’s just trying to get them off of him. They can do without their goons that are doing the dirty work, but we have no chance without Oscar. They know it and are still trying.

Well done. Even if Arkansas draws away to win at home I can find some comfort knowing we can be pretty dangerous with a healthy Wallace. And possibly Wheeler. Not counting on that.

It does happen to Oscar. A lot. He gets mauled countless times in the post. Grabbed around the waist and torso area when he posts up almost every time down the floor. **** gets old. But he does have to be smarter and not let the bum *** Mitchell twins get under his skin. Only way they can play with him.

And Cal has moved him to the FT line instead of Posting him up every offensive set. Oscar has a quick first step, which he is NOW using to take other Bigs off the dribble. I NEVER understood why Cal didn't play him this way the entire year?
