Unlike past teams, this team cannot get into the end zone...that is why we had no chance before this game began...we can do our best to enjoy watching the final game, but we must remain rooted in reality, this team cannot score enough to beat anyone perhaps except Rutgers in the Big Ten...
1. Northwestern terrible, one of the worst teams in the country.
2. Illini not good. Michigan will beat them by 30 if they make the championship game.
3. Northwestern punter terrible
4. Northwestern linebackers (#32 #34) possibly worst pair in all of power five. Slow, out of position and bad tacklers.
5. Mitchell overrated
6. Star RB and star DE will leave after season.
7. Should be playing Frosh QB from chicago.
8. Season like this means going to lose recruits.

How exactly could it be worse? If the players are disenfranchised and disengaged? They will be an improved team next year.
Man is Bielema fat.That can't be healthy.He can coach in the BIG though.

QB actually has the arm to get the ball into the end zone after a terrible and unnecessary hold by our left guard on the previous play. one wide receiver (88) in play but at least 2 DBs between him and the ball so makes no effort. The rest of the WRs are hardly in the picture, and 5 is just watching Witherspoon make an uncontested interception.
Sadly this is so Northwestern. I don’t know if one should blame the coaching for not getting players into position for at least a 50/50 jump ball or deflection; the players for not seeming to make an effort to make a reception there, or me for watching this on a beautiful saturday afternoon in Chicago. At least the UM/OSU game was hugely entertaining - and a few familiar recruiting names with big plays - C Johnson, Mullins, McCarthy, and a few others like Zinter, etc.

Except #2 - I mean, just 7 days ago Illinois was a game ending FG away from beating Mich in the Big House so I’m not sure it is a conclusion that Mich will beat them by 30 on a neutral field. I think Illinois is coasting right now, playing bend don’t break defense.
Agree let’s put Lausch in there just to see what he’s got.
