Good Lord we better win this game cuz if not the rest of the year could be horrendous. I expected a close game and it looks like that might happen. Maybe we'll outplay them as the game goes on

It wasn't even that he was slow there from a footspeed perspective, he just let the TE run right by him without turning to keep pace. It's possible he thought he was supposed to have help over the top, but with the safety walked out into the slot with 3 WR to that side and both CBs staying under as one receiver took the safety out to the boundary... I doubt it.

That was awful. If we make SIU QB and WR look like an air raid offense, it’s gonna be a long B1G season.
At least we avoided (barely) a first quarter big TD play.

Offense seems to be working today. Hilinski came up big with that fourth down throw to Lang.

Announcers said last week against Duke we didn't score five of the times we crossed the fifty yard line.

SIU has discovered that we do not have a defense...looks like Swiss cheese...holes everywhere.

Number three was wide open again if he had caught that ball it was another touchdown seems like these guys run right by our linebackers and of course we keep playing the same guys because apparently we have nobody else

Our LBs seem like they still don’t know where to go, and our DBs can’t shed blocks to contain those bubble screens to less than 8 yards. Only reason it’s not 14-14 now is because their guy dropped a perfectly thrown pass.

Offense is not controlling the game, some good chunk runs but unable to get consistency to sustain multiple drives. Hilinski is off target on multiple throws again.

This is pretty discouraging.

Why are we allowing an FCS to pass at will. This is not acceptable. Hank leaves and our d goes to the dogs
