Mayhe that's why the press and refs hate him so much. He does such stupid things and yet still manages to get top recruiting classes. They have to be sitting there thinking, "Are you kidding me? Did you see him blow ___ season, choke against ___ last year, and keep ___ on the bench against ___? W.t.f...."
It seems like players, their families, and handlers think coming to UK is special because Cal says it isn't for everyone. It is stated like it is some kind of exclusive club that joining is worth enduring the mental torture. So, players are willing to roll the dice in screwing up their careers by coming here. Collins and Adou should be running from this place as fast as they can run. Those kids got talent but they don't have anyone to develop them. The assistant coaches appear afraid to get out of their seats to say anything to Cal.

Livingston wasn’t terrible could he have been better yes, Livingston played good against Kansas then cal benched him. Wheeler did play well, but benching a creator/scorer for a team who struggles to score is crazy
To me it’s simple and has been obvious for years, Cals kids play tight and have forever because he is worse than sparky Anderson in the 70S.
you miss a shot or turn it over, your coming out, anyone that has played the game knows you can’t be effective looking over your shoulder constantly.

Reeves should have been playing a lot more tonight.
Livingston hasn't impressed me much all season. The potential might be there but he clearly is playing out of position.I guess time will tell just how good he can be...here or elsewhere but I do hope he sticks around.
For every step forward Wheeler does he ends up taking 2 steps back but he is what he is and expecting anything else isn't happening.

Kentucky hit 11 of 13 without him shooting one. I would rather have Wheeler handling the ball than Reeves, jmo.
You've got Wallace who can be the main ball handler and Reeves isn't incapable of it either but don't make it out to be it's either wheeler or Reeves handling the ball because it doesn't have to be like that

Ole miss game gave cal reason to play wheeler more which will end up hurting Kentucky

I have no idea why Reeves did not play much in 2nd half but I will tell you it is inexcusable to not have him on the floor in the final minute when we knew they were going to foul us.

Here are the 3 guys that had to face down the 1 AND 1's with the game on the line

Collins 58% FT on the year not to mention just came in the game after sitting entire 2nd half
Toppin 67%
Wallace 63%

Meanwhile CJ is 90% and Reeves is 83%

I am sorry but you have to be a really stupid coach not to get 1 of those 2 guys the ball (oh wait they have to be in the game to get them the ball)

We got super lucky that Collins hit those FT's if he misses that 1st FT we might have lost. They would been down 1 when Toppin bricked the FT and would not have had to go for a crazy 3 point shot.

Exactly and he plays kids out of position and never puts them in a position to succeed. Reeves is a good creator from the middle of the floor and cal has him standing in a corner, and iced him for wheeler. The Benny lineup saved his season and he rather go back to wheeler Livingston toppin Oscar lineup

Reeves is a liability on defense and has been turnover-Prine his entire collegiate career. Great scorer, though. I like Reeves.
Our entire team was a liability on defense the last 8 mins of the game. You are telling me having Reeves on the court we could done any worse ? They didn't miss scoring on a possession for like 5 straight minutes.

It's because of Cal. Even after a win we have to worry he will now play Wheeler 30+ and barely Reeves against ARK.
Reeves should get more minutes than wheeler but as a coach its a feeling thing. Wheeler played well tonight and made plays. That doesn't mean that is how it will be next game. Each game brings new match-ups and challenges. Nice work tonight and as always.....C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS

Wheeler played 25 minutes tonight. Reeves 19. You take Wheeler out at the 5 minute mark for Reeves and the minutes are basically reversed and that would be more acceptable. Actually if Cal would start Reeves over Livingston and give Livingston 10- 15 minutes a game resting Toppin would be the optimum way to go, but we know Cal won’t do that.
