Northwestern (1-1) hosts Eastern Illinois (1-1) tonight at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. The game will kick off at 6:40 pm per the stadium clock and will air on BTN.

Great play call and execution on 4th. Can we bring back McCall?

Right call to go for it on fourth down. Good play by the EIU linebacker to make the hit in the backfield.

Lausch had one awful throw and two pretty good ones.

Wow can't get one yard on 4th down against Eastern Illinois. Not a good start

Offense looks worse. Lausch is not the answer. So frustrating that we can’t recruit a quarterback.

Maybe we should give Lausch some time to settle down? Not sure if our fresh OC is the answer actually. 4th and 1 situation sucked.

It’s not Lausch. It clearly seems to be the OL as the weakest link. Lausch may not be a great QB and your second statement is correct, but that’s not why we’re unable to move the ball.

Perhaps, but this looks like a high school team right now on offense.

Is Wright on the sideline in street clothes? Sure looked like it, Wonder if we don’t know the whole story on the new QB.

Cooper Lovelace tackles Jack Lausch just before Lausch scores a touchdown.

Millen: "Lovelace does a nice job of pulling Lausch forward."

Sorry, but moving the ball only on QB runs is pee wee football. That won’t work against BIG teams. This kid can’t even reach his WR with his throws. Going to be a long year.

Pre are in big trouble if he is our quarterback. Good runner but no quarterback on. I think Wright is a better option.

Yes Sir. We are not a Big Ten offense right now. BUT, big credit to the OL for bouncing back on that long drive after looking like the Mickey Mouse Club on the first two drives.

Not an encouraging first quarter. Gotta believe Lausch can pass better than some of his throws. Those were routine passes that he needs to make.
