the team that couldn't beat iowa st is the safe bet?Iowa is the safe bet in the West, Wisconsin has the easiest schedule overall. Nebraska could win the West this year ( I don't think we will) but I also saw us outplay or beat every team in the West last year besides Illinois -- all with a WR as our head coach.
frost's best win
I didn’t think he had great top end speed?seems like a good spot for him
he seems to have a knack for finding daylightI didn’t think he had great top end speed?
Exactly, because once you get the angle, the defender is either backpedaling, or trying to change direction from a full sprint. Meanwhile, the kick returner is breaking ankles and pretty much coasting from the 50 yard linehe seems to have a knack for finding daylight
don't have to be the fastest guy on the field to take kickoffs to the barn
It's far too long ago for me to remember the exact specifics but for Ganz as I recall some people were really ridiculing him as not being worthy of a P5 scholarship to any place let alone Nebraska. And Pork Chop was being hounded for being too fat and slow. It was the intensity of those negative comments by several posters that stick in my mind and yes those comments were being made by so-called Husker fans, not trolls from other teams.Where there was a vicious heap of criticism? Examples of what was said?
I ask because I've been on this board for quite some time and while some posters (the non-trolls) don't share excitement with some recruits, I don't think I've ever seen a regular, non-troll member display a "vicious heap of criticism" on here.
Dude is 8/17 for 125 yds. in his college career.
Sims is the #5 ranked QB in the B1G per SI, and Altmyer #12.
That could be a season total under Beliema...
He took Barry’s playbook and followed it to a T. It’s not sexy, but it can get you eight or nine wins almost every year. It will never make you great though. Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota do not get great players, but they can get some pretty good ones and develop them.I can’t stand the guy, but I have to admit that I respect the fact that his teams have an identity. In fact he used that identity to cuckold Bo Pelini and repeatedly skull fúcked our team into submission.
Speed sure helps if a crease opens. It will be pretty painful for me if he breaks in to the open and gets run downhe seems to have a knack for finding daylight

I just want to see a returner break one into the open. Special teams have been putrid.Speed sure helps if a crease opens. It will be pretty painful for me if he breaks in to the open and gets run down. I have no idea what his 40 time is but kick returns are one play where it matters some.
Honestly if that’s the worst that happens and we get a short field every now and then, I would take that. However I don’t see too many kickoffs getting an opportunity for a returns in todays world.Speed sure helps if a crease opens. I ain't going to defend the Pork Chop comments on here too much, but I do believe he said he got sick of getting called fat. That is why he said he leaned up considerably late in his college career. Might have got him some NFL money. It's far too long ago for me to remember the exact specifics but for Ganz as I recall some people were really ridiculing him as not being worthy of a P5 scholarship to any place let alone Nebraska. That's where you fair catch all kicks that are not going into the end zone because your team isn't disciplined enough to ever execute a return without committing a penalty. What's a kickoff return?
Lol... Cory Ross AKA Pork Chop. He was the inspiration of my screen namePork Chop was another recruit who received that treatment.

We literally just need a guy to get us 10 yards. We dont need them taken to the house. Getting us ANYTHING will be an improvement.Honestly if that’s the worst that happens and we get a short field every now and then, I would take that.
