I keep seeing people post: “well we lost 3 starting pitchers and the best player ever” as an excuse.
In 2017, we lost 3 quality pitchers and and one of the 3 most prodigious home run hitters in school history and promptly only lost 2 non-con games and went to Omaha in 2018. Then, in 2018, we lost more quality arms, solid hitters and fielders, and in 2019, for the first time in school history went undefeated in non-con games and again went to Omaha. We lost “leaders” from last year’s team, but we have 5 guys that should carry us even if the four new guys give us nothing. Not a one of them has nutted up and said “okay, this is my team and we ain’t gonna stumble and bumble through non-con on my watch.”
