I know it's basically common knowledge at this point but kind of lame of that guy to spill the beans.

At this point it’s time to move along and more interested who were trying to get for the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes..

If Dylan isn’t starting by the end of the 25 season he could be in the portal heading to Lincoln any how.

It appears he has not said yes to a school yet...might as well keep trying. It is like an 80's rom-com, when it was totally okay for the boy to continue to pursue the girl until he finally wins her over.
Here's my 80's rom-com scenario.... Sixteen Candles. When the HS stud chooses the red head (three star with upside) instead of dating the hot blonde 4 star who has zero intelligence and will probably be average looking in 10 years. That's what Rhule has got to do.

Many a Husker fan here are already crapping all over Rhule for elevating walk-ons and lower rated kids

My bet is he has them ready to contribute come fall and crow will be a wildly popular menu item on this here site (they’ll all deny it)

Maybe his uncle will move along to Georgia too. Ya think he's better than what they got? Not bloody likely..

For real? I’ve been out of the loop a bit lately, but in no way is Rhule giving out scholies to walk ons remotely close to previous regimes giving out walk on scholarships just to get to 85. Not even close.

I doubt that he ever seriously considered Nebraska.
Possibly.

I'm not saying this is real, but it does explain the post a while back that claimed Rhule told Dylan not to come to the Spring game. If it is true I don't understand why Dominic let Dylan do it.

Again, not taking this as gospel.

Perhaps Dom liked reliving the glory years a bit, as well

Can’t blame him

The more I look at him, he looks like a total douchebag. I hope he has zero success in his football career. You can quote me on a cbs sports article about how bitter Nebraska fans are too

They were just getting Uncle Donnie to be retained,. Rhule. Sniffed this out a little and played along to the end . There’s a reason Uncle Donnie only got a 1 yr contract.

Ummm, if Rhule had sniffed it out, he wouldn’t have kept Uncle Donnie.

Rhule was some how able to sniff it out prior to recruiting Dylan?

*Rhule eventually sniffed it out.* That better?
Better. However, I just don't buy any of this conspiracy angle. If it were just to get his uncle retained, wouldn't he have dipped out right after he was retained, which was pretty quick after Rhule was hired? IIRC, he drug it out quite a while after that. That's a hell of a long play ruse. I think much more likely is that Dylan never really had any interest and family asked him to just give NU a chance before making a decision. Which he did, and still had no interest.

I probably worded that wrong, the only way Dylan wouldeven thin about coming is if Uncle Donnie was retained. Rhule understood this , I thin Rhule knew Dylan was a low chance get. But Rhule was going to go the distance which he did. Rhule also understood The line play was poor last year. He was willing to give Donnie the benefit of doubt because he worked with a HC and OC that butted heads on the Direction of offense last year. Rhule and Ed foyle can help with the OL if needed.
Rhule was willing to stay with Donnie because of Dylan and the reasons above. But Rhule is also calculated with every move and if Dylan didn’t come ( he didn’t) and if the line play doesn’t reach a certain criteria this year, With the 1 year contract he gave Donnie , he cans him next January and Donnie walks away with no money.

I’m sure Georgia was his preferred spot all along but that’s what recruiting is all about. Going to check out other schools on the list - I’m surprised and unsure why it took so long to commit in that case but our program wasn’t in the right state of success to land this kid.

I’m really happy we got Kaelin though. A kid that grew up here and dreamed of playing in Lincoln and now has a chip on his shoulder because he was 2nd in line. Dude is going to want to prove he should have been first in line over DR for the rest of his career. That is a powerful thing and may be the best thing that could have happened to him and us in the long run. I’m excited for the guys who want to be here - time to show out!
