Future statue?

Very few statues I've ever seen are impressive. Typically they look tacky (PSU fans take note) and imo a complete waste of money.
Name a building, complex, arena, stadium, ect... ...after him/them and update as new ones are built.
Bob Huggins Coliseum....if he eventually earns such an honor.

We've already given a street name to Catlett, so it's safe to say Huggs is already a lock for some type of street or building or court name.

....and while I've seen it before I did just read that the 'artist' that created that statue has admitted it sucks and will make a new one using money out of his pocket if requested. ...and it seems that offer will be accepted (after years).
It'll still suck. Same 'artist' doing the same dead celebrity.
Outside of Washington DC and Europe its hard to find a good statue these days.
I like the Tesla statues in Niagara Falls.
I think our Mountaineers statue has some gravitas.
I think statues for athletes are mostly silly. Babe Ruth and Mahammad Ali, that's my list of athletes who should have a statue - RG3? LOL.

I have personally seen 6 of the 25 in your link, the bronze shoes by the Danube in Budapest are the most moving; represents Jews brought to the river, lined up, shot and their bodies dropped to the water below. There are many pairs of small children's shoes as well. It still amazes me that man's inhumanity to his own kind still continues to this day (Syria); we have learned nothing.

A statue of Huggins on his courtside stool would evoke so many happy memories. And maybe 2 treadmills bracketing the statue. THAT would evoke memories from everyone who ever played for Bob. He's a Hall of Famer in my mind, no matter what happens for the rest of my life.
I see an opportunity here. Buy bronze futures, there is sure to be a shortage once the project is started.
I doubt Wvu would ever build a statue of Huggins even though he deserves consideration. On the Football side if they didn't build a statue of the great Don Nehlen then there definitely not gonna build one of the not so great Fluffer Holgorsen.
