Really sh## the bed though and fell short recruiting later on because of his personal problems. That said, Suh and Crick weren’t difficult to coach.
Alberts needs to be decide the style of play he wants from the HC, make the coaches he is looking for that are skilled in that style of play: both sides of the ball.
May he push for the head coach that knows the Coordinators for all three phases of the game and can have the package deal done.
I want the power and attacking mentality on both lines of scrimmage. Watching the OU defense play yesterday was a style I’d love to see. Offensively, strong running game with a passing game that works off of it.

Carl was a very good coach but he had other issues outside of football. What most got Bo canned was his prickly nature and his disregard for the fans.
Bo was a paranoid sociopath.... That said, we all have our demons. It's unfortunate for and him and us that they played out so publicly and so often. No doubt he did some good things and COULD be a good guy. He just couldn't help himself. I share his pain. I acted out in my younger years in stressful situations in a similar manner but never to the degree he did in a work setting. Bo would be WAY better suited to be sitting in a skybox for an NFL team or LB coach than he ever was to be our head coach or DC.
Carl may have been a good practice coach but he fell WAY short on many of the prerequisites to be considered a "good coach". JMO.
