Was looking around the BIG team stats to see where we stacked up in certain areas, and what I found may SHOCK you.... or maybe not. Either way, let's check it out:

Total Offense:

1. Ohio State (10-0)
2. Indiana (7-3)
3. Minnesota (9-1)
4. Penn St (9-1)
5. Wisconsin (8-2)
6. Nebraska (4-6)
7. Michigan (8-2)

Not bad company to be in, with our record being a major outlier.

Red-Zone Offense

12. Northwestern (75%)
13. Nebraska (70%)
14. Maryland (66.7%)

Second to last is not good. How great would it be with that high of an offense if we scored and ranked up in the upper half?

Total Defense

12. Nebraska (4-6)
13. Maryland (3-7)
14. Rutgers (2-8)

Seems fair

Red-Zone Defense

12. Rutgers (87.7%)
13. Minnesota (88.9%)
14. Nebraska (90.7%)

Yup

Opponent Third-down conversion

12. Nebraska (41.4%)
13. Maryland (42.6%)
14. Rutgers (45.3%)

Yes

Rush Offense

1. Ohio State (10-0)
2. Wisconsin (8-2)
3. Nebraska (4-6)
4. Minnesota (9-1)

Nice!

Sacks Allowed

12. Nebraska (25)
13. Maryland (28)
14. Illinois (31)

Neat

So, what do all these stats mean? Nobody knows. But, if we improve our red-zone offense and heavily improve our defense, then I mean, we're going places baby.

#6 in total offense is pretty bad, too. People have faith in the offense taking off soon, but I just don't see it.

Still though, with how terrible the Oline has been and an awfully inconsistent if at times absent passing game, I’m still surprised we’re up that high and wonder what could be with the right Oline and more dynamic play calling (which can help with a better oline)
