The all-time series stands at 129-26. This is good for over a 83% winning percentage.

Some other fun facts. Kentucky is now on a 14-game winning streak against UGA dating back to 2013. This is only the third longest winning streak in the matchup all time.

UK won 16 straight in the series from 1994-2001.

UK won 20 straight from 1950-1966.

5 of Georgia’s 26 wins occurred in 1931 or earlier.

Georgia’s longest winning streak against UK stands at 3 and occurred between 1923-1925. Georgia has not won more than 2 at any other time, and has only done so 5 times in total.

It’s hard to find a more lopsided matchup anywhere in college basketball.

UK dominance over UGA and Old Miss at 226 wins is fantastic. Obviously these series help make UK winningest all time program beating two of the traditional SEC schools that bad.

We're 107-13 against Ole Miss. They haven't beaten us twice in a row since the 1927 and 1928 games. We had a 39 game win streak against them from 1929 to 1972. We're on a current 10 game win streak.

Another dominant series. I believe they went an extremely long time without winning in Rupp or just at UK in general as well.

What the hell were we doing in the 20s.

Faar Buchheit?

Edited to add that I assumed incorrectly Rupp was the coach but that’s a little early. After looking it up George Buchheit evidently coached during the 3-game skid from 1919-24

I do wish we could make it a bit more competitive, but I fear I wouldn’t be as well received around here if that were the case. Lol

Georgia is one of like 3 SEC schools I don’t mind rooting for. I’m sure part of that is due to the lopsided series history. Hard to get mad at passionate UGA basketball fans.

If Claxton had stayed for you guys I think you all would be making some serious noise. He was legit. Hopefully you can build off the Edwards momentum as he’s assuredly a top 3 pick.

Burchheit cared too much about the pros.

Didn’t recruit enough WWI vets.

Didn’t play zone—wait was it invented yet?

Things I imagine would’ve been posted on Rafters in 1923 season.

He obviously cared about WWI more than Kentucky basketball. That is unacceptable.

Yeah never had a beef with Georgia. Matter of fact, my “first” was a Georgia peach. Might have wound up marrying her if the second hadn’t come along so fast. Then chaos ensued, and the rest is history.

I think you’ve built up enough good will to be just fine if UGA somehow puts it together. Crean will beat Cal, eventually. Had the team not acted like they won the national championship at the half of the Athens game they might have won that game.

Kentucky’s highest scoring output came against the ‘Dawgs, I think it was 143, at least something in the 140s. UGA had something in the 60s.

Probably UK’s greatest margin of victory but not sure about that.

Favorite Georgia teams were the ones in late 60s with Leinhart, Epling, Brennan, etc.
