Dang. Must of give in and give up the five plus million he was wanting. We would’ve needed more to get him from them so it’s not a surprise. The negative about this though is MM is one more spot up the draft probably 42-40! Can’t afford for too many more to come out. . We may get one and lose him because of it. Ahh Kentucky Basketball in 2026. Crazy

I don’t think we need a “source“ to tell us that the staff is desperate to find a wing. That’s common knowledge for any fan that’s paying attention.

Yeah, it wasn't breaking any major news, but I thought it fit with the disorganization our portal seasons seem to be.

During the season you could see how exhausted Pope was and you could just feel that the whole team just wanted the season to be over. Pope probably dreamed of a fresh start with a loaded roster, he freely let Jasper and Garrison,and Jela, and Mo leave, just knowing that we would replace them with better players. Well, that hasn’t happened. An offseason that could have been a fresh start and a chance at redemption will turn out to be the final nail in Popes UK coaching career. We may and I stress may have upgraded the 4 position. The rest is a wash at best, and last years team should have lost 16 games.

I can’t imagine going through this every season with recruiting.

It is by far the worst recruiting of any UK basketball coach in my lifetime.

Pope isn‘t suddenly going to become a great recruiter like he isn’t suddenly going to become an elite coach.
