Not sure how the next John Wooden can get run like that.

or how Nwora can be absolutely terrified of the pressure moments.

Every team in the Big 12 except Kansas, Baylor and Texas Tech has a losing conf record.

Some people still had West Virginia as a 3 seed as of Saturday morning.

West Virginia sure making the committee look stupid for giving them a 2 seed just 16 days ago.
I’m thinking having only 3 teams with a winning conference record says good things about them, but nothing good about the rest. We can debate who’s best, but I think it fair to say the SEC was more competitive this year. Still they’ll probably only get 3 and the SEC only 4 in the NCAAT.

No way to know which team losing helped us tonight. If we can't get to a 2 seed then Louisville losing helps us. Just no way to know with so many games left. Whichever team that won tonight probably takes over a 2 line spot but Louisville losing maybe just maybe now we can pass them up for a 3 seed in some of these brackets.

Key is we just can't lose again if we want any shot at that 2 seed and that may not be enough but winning out sure gets us a high 3 seed and a regional preference hopefully.

Louisville has only 4 quad 1 wins but continues to hang around as a 3 seed in most brackets. Joe L had them as the highest 3 seed coming in ? I think I seen that on the scroll. Doesn't make much sense.

West Virginia was -233 on the money line (5.5 point favorite).

That was their 6th straight road loss.

Not only does Louisville have only 4 quad 1 wins (compared to Kentucky's 6) they have only 1 "tier A" quad 1 win while Kentucky has 4 of them.

Oh and Kentucky beat Louisville heads up...........so why again is Louisville over Kentucky on so many people's brackets coming into tonight ?

Evansville has that much weight ?

Not enough games left for Louisville to fall below 30 in the NET. They are solid Quad 1.

No idea why anyone here would pull for them. Piss on them and their ACC title that they just choked away. A year when the ACC is the 2nd worst P5 conference, just a hair above the PAC 12.

This. I'll trade a slightly diminished shot at a 2 seed for not having to hear Card fans crow about an ACC title for the next 5 years.

Heard today on ESPNU radio that if you dont blow teams out, you get dinged for it. The topic was actually about Purdue and IU.. an IU fan wondered how Purdue can be ranked higher, having that many losses. The Caller and host (Packer i believe) lamented that it was cause Purdue has blown out teams where as IU won close games.

Which is dumb. Fine, equal records, give me the team thats blowing others out. But losses are still losses. Theres no way a Purdue with 14 losses should be that high in the rankings.

Explains Kentucky's ranking, i guess.

hope fsu and uk both get 2’s there’s no teams that worry me except a couple. they’re one. i rather not play them in the sweet 16. great defense and a lot of confidence.

Florida State was down 51-40 then closes the game out on a 42-16 run to win by 15. [roll]

U6 didn’t score a point from 13:21 left to 8:24 left, in a 13-0 FSU run from 55-49 U6 to 55-62 FSU. The 'Noles went 20-12 from there and closed it out with 7-0 run over the final 2:06.

Talk about foldin' like a cheap suit !

When you cosider the comeback in points, the crowd, the big boy dunks/blocks, and UofL absolutely losing their composure.. that was one of the biggest collapses ive seen. They totally crapped themselves.

Shows, Smith, and Stephenson. Ought to be against the law to put those 3 together.
How many flops has McMahon had?

There were 5 obvious flops he got the refs to call for him. If not for flopping he would be the most useless defensive player in the country. Might still be.

Throwing out all my anti-UoL bias...honest question.

Why isn’t Mack playing David Johnson 32 minutes a game at point guard? Kimble and Perry would struggle to start at Western Kentucky. Seems so obvious?

He is able to get where he wants with the ball, uses angles well, and keeps his dribble alive. However he’s not a particularly good 3pt or FT shooter and is very handsy on defense and is always in foul trouble. Mack is seemingly willing to sacrifice this season to hide his 2 best freshman and not play his others at all. Irony of all ironies will be after all his machinations, he ends up with sanctions next 2 years.

Actually UL is a total fraud as is Mack. They have one really good win- at Duke. They will go nowhere in March.

Stephen Austin did the same at the same place, that diminishes a really good win..ACC and college bb is down this year, no standout teams per say. That's why U6 is where they are at...they gloat because they beat UNC, who hasn't beat UNC?

Totally agree. I have no doubt they will the 3 or 4 seed to our 2 seed or 3 seed and I have no problem with that. Really the 3 teams I would like to avoid til the final 4 are Baylor , KU and FSU . Though I know any way you slice it one of those will be our 1 seed in the midwest.

Guessing you didn’t watch their even more epic meltdown last year against Duke

This was different though. It's one thing to collapse at Duke because the NCAA wills it.. (which sort of happened last night, I guess).. But FSU stuffed them into a locker. There was almost no doubt that FSU was going to win that game with like 10 min left. UofL was SHOOK.
