This is a compliment to RU. It looked to me like FSU is a sweet sixteen team.

Playing in the ACC may dampen their overall win total, but they have all the tools to build a strong season: length, depth, athleticism, shooting, defending, you name it, they have it.

If Baker can turn into FSU’s Walker, vs real competition/conference play, as a sophomore, I think we’d all be very happy. Am I asking too much or too little?

Doubt they're a Sweet 16 squad and will be interesting to see how they progress during the season. Many of their players are 4*'s etc

Baker is a damn good player now. Had a mediocre game because the refs called 2 ticky tack fouls on him early and for the balance of the game - he played passively. Baker is the type who will learn from this game as it was his first challenge against a "real legit" squad.

First off, tough loss tonight.

Bunny always recruits long, athletic guys, then does a good job of teaching them his defense. Usually he only has one shooter, but this season his team has multiple. They play Florida in a few days, I'm looking forward to that game.

Love Baker and he will only get better. Would like to see him get stronger in the off-season. Imagine how good he will be if he shows the level of improvement Eugene has shown from Frosh to Soph.

Hi Russ. As fyi, there were 13 NBA Scouts at the game watching MJ Walker - who didn't perform too well. His namesake did however. Very entertaining game. FSU looks quite solid; athletic

Florida should torch them.

Agreed. Especially their guard CJ Walker. He was a stud tonight. I wish we could have had him foul out. He played the last 10 minutes of the game with 4 fouls. That's where Hamilton their coach made a smart move and changed their D to zone. One, it protected Walker from fouling out and two if forced us a weak outside shooting team to hit jumpers.

We put it to them on defense, and they made the right passes and hit open shots. They are a long team, and seemed to block anything in the paint. I will say they did fall asleep a few times out there and Eugene took advantage. That was a hard fought game by both teams.

That's Major Howard "Bunny" Colvin to you!

And to whoever said FSU is top 6 in the ACC...nope, should be top half though.

Not ranked coming in but looked like a good team with some nice pieces. And their best big who is 7-4 did not play. They got better as the game went on and wore us down. I like the way they moved the ball as well.

FSU starts

at Duke
UNC
at Miami
Louisville

Assuming they go 1-1 vs at Florida and neutral OK State they probably need to go 8-10 in league to make the tournament.

I am predicting 19-11 8-10 needing a win in 1st round ACC T to dance....and it won't be easy

They have one of the weaker ACC schedules

I think in March we may be looking back on this one saying what if .. at best though it is at least true that we still have no "bad losses" .. I hope we can get one of the next two but it's asking a boat load.

Baker was 2-8 and fouled out. I hope that is not a mediocre game for him. With that said, I believe this will be a great learning experience for him and Docoure moving forward.

Yes...Florida state is damn good

Look for RU to be 9-3, with its three losses to teams that are nationally ranked when seton hall comes to the RAC on December 16th

Fsu crushed them.

As many said after our game, they are a complete team and are going to be a handful in terms of matchups for many.

Amused that last week some fans said they were a mid level P5 team.
They were and are very good. ACC is loaded.
