Most buyout language requires the coach to make a good faith effort to seek another job

One thing is for sure, there seems to be plenty of opportunities for mediocre to bad football coaches - once they have been a head coach somewhere. The fact that Mike Riley has coaches since Nebraska boggles the mind, so nothing would shock me at this point.

He is better than frost though. He made it to 2 bowl games in 3 years. Scott’s teams will be zero in 5

I completely agree with you that Riley is better than Frost. Frost is the worst football coach to ever lead the huskers in the history of the entire program. But with that said, don’t be shocked if Frost is a head coach in the next few years again.

I thought Edwards was a very curious hire at the time, but kind of surprised he was fired in-season. His results on the field were not all that bad.

I don't see it, especially when they do a deep dive into his background.

Maybe Urban takes the ASU job? Guessing easier to recruit to Phoenix than here, and would soon be the big fish in the Pac 12.

The only way Frost will get another Power 5 head-coaching job is if Saban hires him on his staff and rehabs his career like he did with Kiffin and Sark.

What about salary dollars? If a coach really wanted to be a dick could go work for another school for minimum wage and let his former school foot the bill,

Yeah, we are well aware that’s possible. Only low-life’s would do that. So yeah, I can actually see that happening

Would chip give him a mercy job?
Chip has contacted him. For what reason or possible position I have no idea. After all Scott's first full time assistant's position was WR coach for Chip at Oregon(in a Power 5 conference () after he was at UNI in Cedar Falls). Chip has turned over a lot assistants in his short time at UCLA.

IF I'm Chip I bring in Frost immediately as an analyst. Frost can coach anything from safeties to QBs and he was a top recruiter for Oregon if Frost needs to replace an assistant.

pac 12 is 2-1 vs the big ten this year. both wins over then-ranked big ten opponents, including an outright win as a 17-point underdog
who cares about this year? this year has barely started. 99% of their records were from previous years.

if you want to make the argument that the pac 12 has been better than the big ten the last four years, have fun with that, i wish you luck
