Why would you possibly think Urban Meyer would come to Lincoln? Seriously?
Your program is no more relevant than Iowa State.

I think there is a good guy out east who is a solid coach looking for a job? I think his name is Mike Reilly?

Because there is no pressure to win big.

Just win.

Resurrecting a program is the ultimate proof of a great coach.

I’m not on the Fire Frost Bandwagon but raise your hand if you still think his contract extension was a fabulous move.

Look what happens when you play your scholarship players. You move the ball. Let them make plays. Betts, Flemming. I don't care if they make a few mistakes. I am sick of walk-ons
yep, that was it....hahaaaaaaaaa where was the 'freak' the last play of the half?????? taking a selfie in the locker room??

If Frost isn’t calling plays and running his offense there’s no reason to be here. That’s why he was hired.

He’s a good speaker and representative of the state. Just a ****** play caller and needs to know when to give it up to someone else. Don’t think he ever will though.. too competitive and prideful.

Offer Urban 15 million..
Urban is not going to a program that is irrelevant in modern history regardless of how much you offer him. Nebraska fans need to accept that the Tom Osborn days are never coming back...not going to happen.

I'll say this about UM. He would absolutely win big here and he knows he would instantly become a God here. Nebraska is one of only a few places that could stroke his ego like that. Kind of like Saban bringing Bama back. You'd see a statue of him right beside TO.

THIS is exactly what is wrong with Nebraska football fans. You are comparing yourself with Alabama like all it would take is the right coach. Alabama plays in the best conference, is located in a recruiting hotbed region and has national appeal...Nebraska has none of those. Come to grips with who you are and it will make your lives much easier.

My family is from Alabama dumb ***, so don't speak to me on it. This same program you speak of sucked for the better part of 30 years with some pretty good seasons sprinkled in until they went all in for a game changer coach.

Nebraskas biggest problems have been being cheap, letting TO linger over the program for 20 years, and continuing this fantasy of the Nebraska way is the only way. You still see fools on here every day spouting it off. I don't think UM is ever coming here, but I guarantee you he would absolutely listen if Nebraska went all in and got serious about it.

Urban Meyer is not going to Nebraska or to any college program-- only USC has a slight chance at that. So get that thought out of your mind now.

You want stability and winning in your program yet you're on your 4th HC in the past 15 years. Right there is your problem. This reckless mindset is why you haven't been able to do better than get people like Callahan, Pelini, Riley, and now Frost as your HC. The much better coaches have been scared off because of expectations that are simply unrealistic among your fan base. Get pissy all you want, but it's reality. Change, change, change, change is NEVER a recipe for success-- whether college football or the corporate world. So before calling someone else a dumb ***, don't be one yourself.

I still think it’s rigged. The play calling is far beyond belief. Were any of you watching the 3rd down play calls? That’s called trying not to score. Not even a little bit. I’m sorry but we have a professional head coach calling plays like a 5 year old on a video game getting 5 mil a year. I maintain...he’s NOT THAT STUPID. Nobody is.

Right now you aspire to get to 5 wins a year in recent times buddy. You are caught up in fantasy-- you are another who expects glory to come back and it's not. Sorry. Ultimately people like you will figure that out. 20 years of being beaten over the head with this reality hasn't been a good enough teacher-- but that's OK, college fans everywhere love sitting back and watching the constant frustration many of you show.

Looking at the list of schools that might be looking for a coach in the next year or so, you see names like USC, Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, and Michigan. If Nebraska really wants Urban (I have no idea if they do), they should probably move quickly. He is going to have some attractive choices.

Frost recruiting tells me Urban can successful here.
You're kidding right ? Urban will never take a job at a school without a STRONG recruiting base. Recruiting - as we all know - is his strength. Only schools he would show interest in are located in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio. Two that come to mind quickly are USC and maybe Texas.

So Frost is now part of a conspiracy to take down Nebraska football? Who is running this conspiracy? The Bilderberger's? The Illuminati? There is a big cone hat with the word "dunce" on it waiting for you.

The only thing that sucks is the fact that a large majority of our fan base is still stuck in the 1990s. Die Hard Husker myself... but I’m tired of the Coaching carousel. I liked Bo but it became obvious that he and NU were headed in opposite directions. It’s amazing how many people thought TO sucked for the first 22 years of his Coaching career. We are a fan base that has been spoiled and needs to face reality. I’m frustrated like the rest of you, but still excited to watch my Huskers strap it up every Saturday.

I agree

In addition each coach had there own scheme. That goes for both offense and defense, with the new coach winding up with players that don’t fit there system

Listen dude, I'm not your buddy. We're down. We'll figure it out. The world is watching because they want to see us return to greatness. You have never experienced greatness so nationally, you are an afterthought and always will be. You're a version of Illinois, Purdue, and Indiana. Bunch of nobodies.

The world is watching? This is what is wrong with Nebraska football. There are not glory days coming back. Recruiting is king in modern football and let’s face it, top rated recruits are not coming to Lincoln. Glory days for Nebraska football are gone and they are not coming back my friend.
