Nah he just doesn't want Martinez to succeed. He is a bum and worthless according to nikkisux. Im sure he was high fiving his band of douch bags whem Martinez came up limping last game.
it really isn't about that at all. I'm just sick and tired of Nebraska sucking and it doesn't have to be that way this year. they could actually be a great team.

To me it's obvious, to you guys, you don't see it, or make other excuses or whatever. That's ok.

But yeah, I took a lot of crap from a lot of people on this board since last year about it, and yep, I am going to let you know when I am right.

If my commentary bothers you, just ignore it.

Not sure why people are getting so hung up on who is or is not QB. I don't care if it is Martinez, or Vedral or Mccaffrey or Bunch. I want to win. It doesn't matter which guy is back there as long as they are the most capable and give us the best possible chance to win.

it does matter, esp if the guy who is in there is a turnover machine who lacks confidence and leadership that actually drags down the rest of the team.

We have a rs freshman center with high snap problems, wr’s who aren’t the greatest blockers, no inside run game because our interior line is a mess... Yeah, we’re far from ‘could be great’...

I see it completely differently. The center is a problem, but what I see is the QB not making the players around him better. That's the way it needs to be. His lack of confidence trickles down to the rest of the team, and so they play worse, and it snowballs.

If you had a confident leader back there that those guys could really believe in, they would play better individually and as a group.

Who do we have that is going to come in and make everyone play better? Our offense didn’t exactly click when Noah came in last week.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying about leadership, it’s important to any team. I just don’t see a QB coming in and fixing problems that don’t relate to their assignments.

Offense has lots of problems but I still think the biggest issue is center snaps. The snaps are killing the offense’s timing and they probably won’t get better in 30 degree weather.

Sorry. I was just reading the thread title thinking about one of those See 'N Say toys. You pull the lever and it goes "The Frost Says" and spits out a random quote out about how good the team practiced or how good so and so looks, etc. Just had a little chuckle as it played out in my head.

I admit Marinez has regressed and doesn't look as good as he should year 2. Whats hard to know is why? Is it a mental thing? Is it a a WR, Oline thing? That why Im in the mindset of give another QB a shot. If the other qb still looks like garbage then we know, yep its just a supporting cast issue. However I am assuming Frost probably see what the other QBs do in practices and if he is sticking with Martinez he must know it is a supporting cast issue. I would hope Frost is not the type of person to play favorites and stick with "his guy" no matter what.

Everybody has “their guy.” I am sure AM is Frost’s guy, and that Frost will give him a long leash. There’s proof that AM can be really good, so giving him a little longer leash is understandable. There are also ego’s involved, and as good-ol-boy and “aw-shucks” Frost usually plays it, he doesn’t want to look like his judgment was off or that he or his coaches can’t figure it out.

Agree, this probably has a bit to do with. I really would like to see Vedral play tomorrow, then we all know for sure. Is it QB or not.

Or it could be Frost/Coach V have seen both QB's for a couple years now and they think that AM is our best QB....naw that can't be it.... they must be playing favorites at the risk of losing because they are just stubborn : )

I think you underestimate Coach Frost ( or any coach for matter ) desire to WIN. I can't imagine any coach not playing the player that they feel gives them the best chance to win.

You could insert Callahan's name or Rileys name in these conversations and the narrative would be the same. If you express on an opinion based on what you see not what you feel or want to be true you are blasted and told you want the team to lose.

So far its the same old story for the Frost era as it was for these other guys. For the record though I do still think this time it is different Frost will get enough time to adjust and is a really smart guy. But for now stating someone is a bad fan, because the team is playing poorly and being honest about that, is not justified.

Minnesota is a big game lets hope the team puts it all together for this one

If Nebraska had some of their best practices this week and Noah was QB1 in those practices , hmmm. 1 + 1 = 2...

All I’m saying is I think a beat up AM has been a major factor thus far this season

And I mean no disrespect to AM. I think, when healthy, he’s probably a top 4 QB in the nation. But he’s hurt and my gut tells me he’s been hurt.

Look at it this way, Brees is a much better QB then Bridgewater but NO can’t win with an injured Brees. How can we expect to win with an injured AM

Let's table that for now but it's interesting how Frost didn't stay with the I against tOSU.

Respect bro.

But we would never beat that team.

So let's see what happens next. Have an open mind.

And realize another coach is a death sentence for the Program.

Frost is our only hope...

it was a joke.. sorry you didn't get it.

as for a death sentence, moving to the B1G was in my mind the death sentence, but another could argue that it's been dead for 20 years, sans the BP era..

Husker football today no longer matches or stands for what it used to stand for. Hard to hang one's hat on a brand that doesn't mean anything anymore.

Are the fans who demand excellence the bad fans, or are the fans who accept the BS play that has been allowed for year after year after year here..

I'm not sure which is the right answer, but it's not much fun being a husker fan anymore.. it certainly would be a lot easier to make fun of Nebraska fans.. if I could only make the jump to that dark side, I'd probably be more popular.

I hate this peasant attitude. Run the program like the multimillion dollar program that it is...stop bringing in leaders just because they are from Nebraska, or just because they look like a podunk Nebraskan. I guarantee we would have some top coaching talent if we gave them 7 years and 5 million a year like we did Frost. Nebraska has some of the largest companies in the world. They don't run those with the attitude that only a Nebraskan can understand how transportation or engineering or financials works in Nebraska. Bring in the best talent. Pay them like the best talent and support them like they are the best talent and you will get the best. We let T.O hand the reins to the best dynasty in football history to a guy who never called plays and who had an alcohol problem, no head coaching experience, and hated to recruit. The next guy was really innovative, a top recruiter with some of the best proprietary systems in the nation and we fired him in year four because he got wrecked by one of the toughest schedules in NU history and because he wasn't Nebraskan. We then gave the job to a non-nebraskan who had one game of head coaching experience because he acted like a "hot head" which is not at all-nebraskan, but we thought was Nebraskan, and then we realized he was an a-hole and dumped him for the complete loser, playing the woe is me...except we only wanted to pay that loser 1.5 million a year, which is nothing in major college football. Our program is much stronger than people think because we have a national following and we fill the seats and we are the only major program with dynastic tendencies in an 800 mile radius around our campus. If Frost doesn't work out there is always the next young talent who will come here if we are smart.

Obviously you are way off. AM is far from the problem. Our only chance tonight was him staring. The offense although has been bas this year. This has been the worse
