I hate this peasant attitude. Run the program like the multimillion dollar program that it is...stop bringing in leaders just because they are from Nebraska, or just because they look like a podunk Nebraskan. I guarantee we would have some top coaching talent if we gave them 7 years and 5 million a year like we did Frost. Nebraska has some of the largest companies in the world. They don't run those with the attitude that only a Nebraskan can understand how transportation or engineering or financials works in Nebraska. Bring in the best talent. Pay them like the best talent and support them like they are the best talent and you will get the best. We let T.O hand the reins to the best dynasty in football history to a guy who never called plays and who had an alcohol problem, no head coaching experience, and hated to recruit. The next guy was really innovative, a top recruiter with some of the best proprietary systems in the nation and we fired him in year four because he got wrecked by one of the toughest schedules in NU history and because he wasn't Nebraskan. We then gave the job to a non-nebraskan who had one game of head coaching experience because he acted like a "hot head" which is not at all-nebraskan, but we thought was Nebraskan, and then we realized he was an a-hole and dumped him for the complete loser, playing the woe is me...except we only wanted to pay that loser 1.5 million a year, which is nothing in major college football. Our program is much stronger than people think because we have a national following and we fill the seats and we are the only major program with dynastic tendencies in an 800 mile radius around our campus. If Frost doesn't work out there is always the next young talent who will come here if we are smart.
